But do you honestly believe that him signing a new contract, and making positive comments about the club, hurts Blackburn Rovers FC?

These days if a club Rovers' size gets two seasons out of a top quality players it's good business . Can't be helped .

He knows this is a transitional year and didnt want to leave us to dust after the wholesale changes we have had. He basically says he owed us this season to be here, but that the club knows he is very ambitious.

Bottom line is I dont see Champions League teams knocking down the door for him, which means we have to qualify for the UEFA Cup if we want to retain him, otherwise he is off next season...
