ABBEY Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 brazil looked woeful last night...you should of heard the boos....0-0 and it was probably one of the most boring games ive ever seen. The only thing that made me laugh was the commentator who said"maddonna is the next gig here and you thought dunga had problems".....532 mins since colombia scored in a wc qualifier sums it up.

92er Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Thought Andrews made the bench for Eire tonight? Well not according to the BBC site. Did he get injured prior or just not get selected? I'll let you know if Radio Lancs decided they made a mistake.
Billy Castell Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Credit to Fabio (and no, I don't mean the 80s Robbie Savage lookalike) - tonight's was a game we'd normally have slipped up with. Above anything, he's proved one thing - the 'pundits', even the Henry Winters of the world, know nowt. That's the problem with nailing your colours to the mast I guess, it doesn't allow for any future improvement. Would be nice if the same thing could happen to the Ince naysayers. I bet those same ____s at The Sun and the rest are declaring Capello a living God after starting to mutter that he should be sacked after the friendlies. I hope all the pillocks who only want an English manager are enjoying it to. People like that tit who dresses up as John Bull with a sign saying it should be Terry Vegetables or some other over rated has been or never will. England don't deserve this run of results, and normal service will be resumed in South Africa when we lose in the 1/4 finals again.
philipl Posted October 17, 2008 Author Posted October 17, 2008 I see John Williams has called for midweek Internationals to be moved to Tuesdays to get over the problem of players not being able to get back to their club until Friday morning- seems a sensible idea. Quite a few players have come back cropped from the internationals. Liverpool are whingeing about Torres and Babbel but Man City's Petrov seems to have serious knee ligament damage and could be out for the season. Sparky to make a move for MGP in January?
philipl Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Zura talking about the Ireland v Georgia clash
dillo_dillo Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Grella in starting line up. Neill wearing captain arm band. (W-Cup qualifying Japan v Australia)
KoNG Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Grella in starting line up. Neill wearing captain arm band. (W-Cup qualifying Japan v Australia) your guys are all over us... This second half
dillo_dillo Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 not so bad game ..... I didn't sleep. (sometimes World Cup Qualifiers games are VERY boring)
Presty On Tour Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I'm watching Wales v Poland and for some reason they are playing in Portugal. There can't be no more than 100 people there and that's including the players on the pitch, subs, coaching staff, fans, ref's and officials. Only 15 minutes gone and it's got 0-0 written all over it. A very young Welsh side are playing like veterans at walking pace, just knocking it about at the back in the warm sunshine. Bellamy, Vokes and Evans are standing up front and look more interested in getting a tan rather than making a run and breaking into a sweat!
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Spain 1-0 England Mistake by Jagielka and Villa scores.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Agbonlawhore looks really average and nowhere near international class.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Too many fringe players here, easy for the Spanish.
AggyBlue Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Too many fringe players here, easy for the Spanish. It's worse than watching a Premier League game for all the diving cheats and inept refereeing.
lee hendries tan Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Agbonlawhore looks really average and nowhere near international class. Bit harsh the midfield have not got the ball to him or backed him and heskey up.
T4E Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 That aside, should he be playing centre forward vs the Champions of Europe?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 David James has had a real blooper. Can only be good for Robbo.
pksrover Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Gamst set up the goal tonight when Norway beat Germany 1-0 away. And for the England game...Barry didn't offer any support to the front two from midfield, Lampard should make that better.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Speaking of internationals you should see Messi's goal against France in the 2-0 win. World class goal.
American Rover12 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Messi destroyed on that run. Class. Way to go Marquez. Everton hates Barca I bet now if Timmy Howard picks up a leg knock.
T4E Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Messi's goal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KO46C4rxyBU (Assuming this is OK, as its on YouTube......)
MI ROVER Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Didn't see the England game but instead watched USA v Mexico ... whilst I thought Mexico were pretty average the man Bradley in the centre midfield aside from 2 goals had a great little game - good engine / broke the play and played some pretty effective defence spliting passes. Could certainly be an asset to our centre midfield.
DeadlyDirk Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I was working so didn't see the game, how did we do overall though? Could anyone who watched the game give us some player ratings perhaps and a brief analysis? How were the spanish fans, any racist comments this time?
Grabbi Graeme Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 England 1-0 up in 7 mins, although now having a striker crisis, Heskey has gone off and his replacement Carlton Cole has also gone off to be replaced by Crouch. Slovakia didn't turn up for the first 15 mins, they have come back into it but you would think England should win this.
1864roverite Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 If anyone is listening on five live, how bad is alan greens commentary ? he moans about everything and anything he spoils the radio for me.
