Pompey 3-0 down and with Boro losing 2-0 today if Newcastle and Sunderland lose then regardless of our result this weekend has been OK, 1 week closer to safety with no points gained on us would be good.

Lol sorry mate, I'm in pre-emptive strike mode as I'm expected the usual tonight after we lose.

Edit FT 3-1. Not good but its not disasterous yet. Theres a good chance we wont be able to relax until the final whistle of the last game

If we stay up wholesale changes have to be made to this inept squad.

Pedersen is absolutely a shambles really. He has lost his confidence and technique. His first touch, his layoffs, everything, other than long throws and heading is all over the place. Diouf has no pace compared to a couple of years ago and I see that as a problem for next season too. Central midfield was so deep today that it gave City the whole world worth of space to play football.

I cant wait for this season to end.

I want PROPER players playing for my club again.

I say it again for those disappointed with Diouf. The guy is a warrior but not much more. He has lost pace and he can't really create.

The good thing is that Aaron Doran sounds like he did well again. Maybe he is the creative future for our midfield.

As for Gamst - lost cause. I don't hope for anything good from him anymore, bar occasional set-pieces.

I still say we are the worst team in the Prem regardless of how many points we have.

We have players who simply cannot pass nad control the ball.

We also have a threadbare and ageing squad.

The depressing thing is as soon as this relegation battle ends the next one starts.

Diouf has been pedestrian and disappointing in the last 2 games. Doran showed some spark but he didn't really look dangerous at any stage. Carlos was more encouraging. Pedersen had his best game for ages against Wigan but today, he was poor. He offers little threat and his passing is worse than anyone else in the team. Maybe we could offer him a left back slot because his attacking contribution is negligible.

We played well at times but City are very average. Players like Robinho can turn it on for a few seconds and make a difference - as he did at Ewood but overall they were mediocre. Hughes has some quality players but he doesn't seem to be managing them well. City are still just a very average team even after all the millions they have spent!

If that's the case then Tony what does it make our side?

Fortunately, you are wrong. There are far worse teams and they are keeping us afloat. No matter how much we try and sabotage our own position, there are always teams that cock-up better than we do!

Yes, it's hard to take. But today we were undone by 2 corners.................I thought that we were supposed to be the set-piece specialists?

At least it wasn't as hard to watch as the Liverpool game.

Sounds like we just didn't get the rub of the green today, and paid for our defensive lapses. Disappointing result, but we're still looking okay for now. The Portsmouth game could be very decisive.

We cant afford proper players thats why the squad is as bad as it is, the team has no quality at all just a bunch of hard workers.

Each transfer window that goes by other teams get stronger and we just stay the same :(
