The approximate cost of each 11 today is £130m+ for Chelsea, compared to Rovers' paltry £16m.

Chelsea should have taken their chances, but we're still in the game and have nothing to lose.

A few observations:

1) Benni's future must be in doubt. I don't think he runs enough for Sam.

2) The teams in the bottom half of the table have only won 1 out of 58 games against the top 4. That gap is widening.

3) We're safe. Brilliant.

Come on boys - give us a goal.

For real? Benni is by leagues and miles the best player at our club. As well as our top scorer. The reason he's not out there today is to give the other players a chance to prove themselves.

Pedersen up front. I'm sure all our fans there will be looking forwards to getting excellent value for the second half of their fifty quid.

And for all the 'I don't care' fans, just think, if we have a good start next season you might be able to stop caring by Christmas.

Thats not the point Exiled, the fact is this season has been a relegation scrap and we have won that scrap, next season our first target is survival and if we can achieve that early then we aim for the top half and beyond.

This season has been such a stressful time its nice just to know whatever happens we will be in this league next season

What do people think of Grella's performance today? I've been pleased with his performance today so far and hopefully a sign of things to come next season.

Nothing fancy but he does the simple thing everytime, quite an entertaining game really.

That kind of finisihing from anelka is exactly what we miss , we attack and never look like we could score , they attack and dont look like scoring then boom 2-0 :rolleyes:

i don't think selling Warnock would be a bad thing, he is a good player but his positioning and final ball has left a lot to be desired today.

Glad Samba is in defence now.

Nothing up front though, why not play Benni there? Not enough creativity, hopefully will be addressed in summer.

Our team just lacks pace throughout.

I agree. Add to that the fact that we lack height and power in key areas i.e. midfield.

Quick enough.

With Emerton, Dunn etc out, we lack any pace or invention in the final third.

When Diouf has had the ball nobody has been moving at all. He's been one of our better players today I think.
