T4E Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 I assume Waggy means when we sign them they arent ready to play. I think he may find if we signed an English player who had hardly played this season he would also need time to get match-fit.

mick Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 The LET and Basturk are both stating that he is here on only a three month deal. I think that the lad should be given the chance to prove himself and if he doesn't it is minimal damage done to the expense account. On the other hand if he does work out then it will be a good return on a minimum bet. Win-win for everyone in that case. Let's get back behind the team, including the manager.
Backroom Tom Posted February 6, 2010 Backroom Posted February 6, 2010 Wait so he's going back in April?
LeChuck Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Wait so he's going back in April? I assume it will be extended if it goes well. He doesn't have a future at Stuttgart so it doesn't make any sense for him to go back.
Shabani Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Hes no longer a Stuttgart player His contract has been 'dissolved' according to Stuttgart's website He's our player and here on a 6 month or 3 month contract
Backroom Tom Posted February 6, 2010 Backroom Posted February 6, 2010 If he was a Stuttgart player we wouldn't be able to extend his loan in April whilst the season is still on so he must be a free agent
T4E Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 And if he leaves in April he'll be without a club until next season. A three month deal is heavily weighted in Rovers favour - we've done plenty wrong transfer wise recently but credit is due to whoever negotiated this one.
AggyBlue Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 And if he leaves in April he'll be without a club until next season. And you'll need another name change:lol:
grinder Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Given his recent record of appearences - anybody think he'll be fit by April.........................? Might as well have brought Tugay back
bennyboyt11 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Nicko, Perhaps you could shed any light on this fella being anywhere near match fit? Thanks in advance.
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Playing in the reserve team friendly with Lingazi away to Fleetwood tonight: New signings on show
Muddboy Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Playing in the reserve team friendly with Lingazi away to Fleetwood tonight: New signings on show Welcome to Lancashire, lads! Fleetwood on a cold and windy Monday night. Should give us an idea as to whether they're up for their new life with Rovers...
Backroom Tom Posted February 8, 2010 Backroom Posted February 8, 2010 There goes any hope of seeing either on Wednesday I imagine. Glad they are getting a taste of English football though no matter how abstract
alexanders Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Already in action. 9 MINS: Nice touch and pass by Basturk over to Doran on the left, he cuts in on his right to find Rigters but the move breaks down
alexanders Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Rigters in action too. 18 MINS: Rigters clips a shot just wide. 14 MINS: Rigters strong down the left, cuts inside and shoots but easy save. 23 MINS: Basturk with a ball through to Hoilett, does he shoot? Does he square to Rigters? He's no time to decide as he's well tackled.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 The ball gets to Rigters and the move breaks down eh? Colour me shocked.
alexanders Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 33 MINS: Basturk seeing plenty of the ball, looking very busy and lively.
T4E Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 And you'll need another name change I'll leave that up to Ste, he gets very imaginative when it comes to my usernames
alexanders Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 39 MINS: But its the other midfield marvel Basturk who continues to look good, a clipped ball to Hoilett but he's offside as he heads
T4E Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Get Toogs back and play a midfield 3 of N'Zonzi, Toogs and Basturk. Let's play some football.
CrazyIvan Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Get Toogs back and play a midfield 3 of N'Zonzi, Toogs and Basturk. Let's play some football. Toogs of 6 years ago would be fantastic...
RibbleValleyRover Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Off at HT? Chance he may be on the bench against Hull? Doubtful but you never know...
Backroom Tom Posted February 8, 2010 Backroom Posted February 8, 2010 Basturk off sounds like he had a lively 45, wonder if Sam is there
T4E Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Toogs of 6 years ago would be fantastic... Even now he'd be an improvement. Bottom line is Tugay should still be a Rover.
