MarkBRFC71 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 10 minutes to go and we're not creating anything.....so the £1 million question is: WHY IS JOE COLE NOT ON THE GOD DAMN PITCH????!!!! Exactly. To me it's glaringly obvious - choose the system that best suits the players, and what they're most comfortable with. Also pick your only player with any unpredictability and creativity. For me we have to line up: .............Hart Johnson...Terry...Dawson...A Cole .............Barry Lennon...Gerrard...Lampard...J Cole ............Rooney Let Gerrard and Lampard play off Rooney - in the same way they do with Torres and Drogba at their clubs. Rooney plays up front on his own at United so no big change there. The problem here is Capello and his reluctance to change. It's the same criticisms levelled at BFS, except this time the majority DON'T want 4-4-2!!
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Such an inept performance defensively, in midfield and attack. A mate of mine sent me a text saying he was hoping that England would concede a goal so it would give them the kick up the arse that they quite frankly need.
Backroom Tom Posted June 18, 2010 Backroom Posted June 18, 2010 Even if Rooney bags a hattrick now he has been a disgrace walking around with his head down all game
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Has someone forgot to tell Rooney that he's meant to be playing??
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Tonight just sums up why i have no affinity with the current England side or desire to follow England as closely as i should. A squad full of utter dross and a manager who is so inflexible when it comes to tactics and players. Got to be one of the worst England performances i have seen in my 27 years on Earth.
Mr. E Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Paul Ince is better manager than Fabio Capello. Fact.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Stand up if you think we're @#/?! and drop Rooney for being a complete idiot for that outburst.
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Did Rooney just have a go at the fans? About them booing?
bubblerrovers Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Is this the worst ever England team, no heart no passion no skill no ideas, 100% nothing
Rovermatt Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Watching RTE's coverage. Brady and Giles look stunned by the performance. Anyway, Algeria were living on the edge for some of the game and had no cutting edge of any description but credit to them for coming through in the way they did. Fair play. I feel genuinely gutted for the English fans (so derided by Wazza at the end) who have spent all that money going down there. No wonder they're booing.
Inta Beaver Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Rooney should be dropped for the next game, he is either injured or doesn't care. Disgrace!! Lampard, Gerrards set pieces were shocking, I've never seen them do that for there clubs! Rooney is a prick and deserves to the abuse, how can he say anything as he comes off the pitch, fat scouse tosser!
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 If i had spent the sort of money that some of these fans have to travel thousands of miles to watch this dross they i wouldn't be exactly happy at that performance.
American Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Oh well, we'll find a way to f it up against Algeria.... Can only hope that the second half gives us the momentum that we need, though. A win and we're through. So much for: England Algeria Slovakia Yanks
benhben Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Overpaid wasters, dissinterested, unpassionate. More interested in wages than football To think these people earn 10 times what a life saving surgeon does in a year, 100 times a paramedic or fireman.
Backroom DE. Posted June 18, 2010 Backroom Posted June 18, 2010 I think Rooney said "nice to see your own fans booing you" or something. Booing is the least those overpaid overhyped tw@ts deserve.
Amo Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Gotta feel sorry for Rooney, though. Poor love's "frustrated". I love watching England defy all expectations.
Inta Beaver Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Rooney " nice to hear your home fans booing" Excuse me fat boy, how much does it cost to go to SA, peoples life savings! If you were still in your council house you would boo that @#/?!
Eddie Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 My word, followed up the best game of the world cup with the worst and one of the worst England performances I have ever seen. Totally clueless, slow, no creativity, really nothing good about it. Still in with a good chance of going through, but we don't deserve it. Heskey must be dropped, gerrard has to be played centrally, so many obvious things. I almost get the feeling that capello is simply too bloody minded to change anything though. Hopefully a good performance against Slovenia....it can't get much worse
jim mk2 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 1966 was the worst thing that ever happened to us. Why ?
Amo Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I wish our broadcasters would hire some pundits with an ounce of controversy. They all say the same apologetic shíte.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 No passion, skill or creativity. Add to that a manager who appears to have difficulty (obviously through the language barrier) in expressing himself. His post match interview was nothing more than mumbled garbage! Just bloody awful......Rooney doing his best to imitate Benni 'McDonalds' McCarthy?
