Have to say that the thought of Derbs lining up for them doesnt scare me in the slightest. Too lightweight for this division. He's quick but not quick enough. Good finisher when put through, but he'll struggle to get into dangerous positions often enough.

Due to work issues cancelled at the last moment and am gutted about missing this gsame, hope it doesnt affect my ticket application for the lashers game.

I dont see an issue with Matty Derbyshire goling to brum. He was an okay player for Rovers, steady but nothing special. We handed him his dream and he has moved on.

He might not cause Samba problems but with his pace may cause Givet some issues.

Set pieces the key as always.

Given the quality of both teams set pieces last week.....0-0.

Something I noticed from a few years ago,

1986/87 December 6 1986 Away Birmingham City 1-1 Scorer: Keeley Att:6,428

1987/88 September 15 1987 Away Birmingham City 0-1 Att:6,032

1988/89 April 22 1989 Away Birmingham City 0-2 Att:5,813

Cracking home gates for a big club!

Didn't Birmingham score two from set pieces?

Zigic starting for brum, should be interesting to see how he does.

The Guardian really laying on their anti-Rovers bias with a trowel this afternoon-

Elsewhere, there are some less than excitBIRMINGHAM v BLACKBURNing match ups, which makes me wonder what the least enticing fixture in the league programme is. Your suggestions are most welcome.

Strange one as Linganzi looked good vs Celtic, maybe Sam doesn't rate him or he's going out on loan. Or of course, injured.

If Andrews has not picked up an injury in the last couple of days, his exclusion is puzzling.

Must be transfer related.

Great to see youngsters in.

Jacobsen has replaced Chimbonda on the bench.. someone doing a double deal of Julie and Pascal?

Qusetion is

No it isn't.

the future looks bright, so Mr Syed, just 20 mill for a top striker and creative mid will do just fine for now.

Posted

could also just be squad rotation.. being saved for the cup game?

True. 90 minutes on the bench can be crueling. Vince would need days of massage and ice baths after.
