So our new Indian owners, who admitted on buying our club that they know nothing about football, sack a manager (who's style admittedly wasn't to everyone's taste including my own) who had performed miracles in keeping us in the league and guiding us to a top 10 finish after having nothing to spend on players. They then replace him with a coach who has never managed a team before and just so happens to be represented by the same agency that have been advising our new owners on transfers. And do you think that there will be pressure placed upon the new manager, by the owners who are being advised by the same agency who represent him, to purchase the players on the books of the same agency? This is all so bent, corrupt and deceitful that it makes me feel sick.

It's disgusting.

surely john williams, has to put to them the risk of giving a job to rank amateur, having been so close to disaster and relegation under ince, or does he have no input anymore? this was an opportunity to appoint a name of some worth, it would at least have made sense then to sack allardyce, insted we have gone backwards, not even sideways. This was supposed to be the start of an exciting new era, now it feels like the club is crumbling down.

Done Deal...........

4 New Players..........Lets get behind him now..........

I agree we have to get behind him. Can't help but worry - its only a short while since we took a punt on an upcoming manager to get our fingers burnt. Interesting change in tact - Ince had experience but no coaching badges, Kean has badges but no managerial experience.

Shocked nobody has mentioned the LT article today where Mrs Desai said there will be MUCH MORE than £5m available for trasnsfer, but they wont publicly say how much.

If Keen has been given the role till the summer only, then that is a good move by the owners (in terms of not getting stuck into a 4 year contract etc)....it then gives us more time to assess the current caretaker & any other options out there.

People are getting so carried away with negativity its untrue! Yes its not ideal and Venkys need to improve their PR, but its hardly fair to say Kean isnt up to it "look at the west ham game".

According to Pedersens website the first training session they had with him was friday. It was never going to be a great performance during such turmoil. At least their is a shred of stability. Lets see what Kean turns out like then panic if it doesnt work towards the end of the season.

In my opinion the perfect manager to fulfil Venkys ambitions would be Owen Coyle. But were not going to get him.

Some other posters appear to have come across info on the internet suggesting it's £8 mil.

They are not learning are they?- would have been sensible to keep quiet about player sales and given Steve chance to win over the dressing room.

So we have four players, all of whom should fetch handsome fees, widely reputed to be pushing to leave with a rookie Manager, a club perceived to be in trouble and an agent who would probably be best advised not to recruit from his own stable mixed into the notoriously difficult window opening just ten days from now. January is going to be a white knuckle ride.

Congratulations to Steve Kean. And the very best of luck.
