Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Sounds too good for us. He should have missed all the chances.

True Blue & White Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Oh well, it was fun hearing us linked and people in Brazil probably wiki'd Blackburn Rovers so at least we got some publicity. By 'publicity' you mean we've had the p*ss ripped out of us on a daily basis. Even CBBC's Newsround were taking the michael earlier "You can't imagine anyone doing a samba dance 'up there'"
Tim Southampton Rover Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I don't think we've ever been on CBBC before so I guess that's a positive to take out of it.
John Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 By 'publicity' you mean we've had the p*ss ripped out of us on a daily basis. Very true indeed - continous jokes by almost everyone and even people have had to stop themselves laughing when this story was mentioned.
JAL Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 It's been dead since the middle of the week. So Steve Kean really was towing the party line in yesterdays press conference, knowing full well the deal for Ronaldinho was dead. Not surprised in the least by this.
True Blue & White Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Ronnie's agent and Brother is now denying any deal with Flemengo is imminent and that they haven't even spoke with them. Jesus H Christ!
Roost Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Ronnie's agent and Brother is now denying any deal with Flemengo is imminent and that they haven't even spoke with them. Jesus H Christ! For fax sake!! what next?
Stuart Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Off topic but that comment reminded me of Gerald this afternoon introducing the match as The FA Cup sponsored by Ian. Made me smile anyway!
True Blue & White Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Available now in the Flemengo Club Shop ..and you've guessed it, he hasn't actually signed yet for them. Gremio fans are calling him a "traitor" (maybe they'll push him out of Brazil, LOL).
67splitscreen Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Gremio and today Palmeiras have now withdrawn from the bidding. If there is no official announcement today by Ronaldinho's camp that he has signed, wonder if he'll be back in Milan.
nicko Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Gremio and today Palmeiras have now withdrawn from the bidding. If there is no official announcement today by Ronaldinho's camp that he has signed, wonder if he'll be back in Milan. I am having a good laugh at the Brazilian sides being lied to and misled by the Ronaldinho camp. Weren't Gremio going to announce the deal last Wednesday? Farce. Rovers made a genuine approach and got their time wasted. Fortunately the people who were wasting their time were only doing that particular task. I can see why so many people at so many different clubs thought they had a chance now... The player is showing his true colours. I hope he does go back to Milan. That would be rather ironic.
cruz Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Looks like Ronnie is as committed to moving as Samba is to staying at Ewood
brian_gallagher85 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 It would appear his little trip to Brazil has made him Mr Popular.
True Blue & White Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Look Ronnie, you're not wanted at home, not wanted in Italy...just stop messing about and come to England
jim mk2 Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Ronaldinho has been trained hard back home in Brazil. He isn't fat by the way.
Torgeir Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Ronaldinho has been trained hard back home in Brazil. He isn't fat by the way. Old pictures Jim. Your record is broken btw.
67splitscreen Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Ronaldinho has been trained hard back home in Brazil. He isn't fat by the way. Erm! remember the pictures of Huddlestone last summer while on holiday with his mates. (posted on here) Nothing a week or two of training wouldn't sort out.
patrickvalery Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Ronaldinho has been trained hard back home in Brazil. He isn't fat by the way. Its no big deal jim. He's just preparing his winter coat for a cold winter at Ewood.
philipl Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Erm! remember the pictures of Huddlestone last summer while on holiday with his mates. (posted on here) Nothing a week or two of training wouldn't sort out. Woohoo, I can shed my spare tire in a week!!!!
bluebruce Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 It's ironic that they're calling him a mercenary when apparently our deal was the biggest on offer. Though, what are the tax rates for players in Brazil?
bluebruce Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Top rate is 27.5% ours is above 50% Hmm, I see. Wonder what the biggest Brazilian offer on the table is. And Brazilian clubs allow third party ownership, right? I'd assume his brother wants to take that up, which might lead to the Brazilian package being more lucrative for Ronaldinho when all is considered?
