beerwins
M. Diouf has gone from best player in first half to worst player in this, has he gone off and not told anyone? Not much attacking threat on offer today.

roverwhelmed
Meanwhile you just revel in anything bad that happens aslong as it makes your point. Talk about supporting your team!! Chelsea away, a ground we havent scored at since 2005 - how would it be any better under Sam? You're totally right there.

greco
we are being dominated in the centre, our central midfielders are simply outclassed. i dont know who the subs are, but it was a tad too optimistic/naive, to put a young olayer in, in the area we are weakest. other than that, didnt have any exoectations, so im not really that dissapointed. Spot on, it's been a problem for so long now, that is one of the main reasons we concede so much possesion. We have no-one to break up play and no-one to keep hold of the ball, hopefully Adam and Jones signed will change this problem.

Considering we are playing a winger and attacking midfield player in Centre-mid that is hardly a surprise. As far as the slack defending - I think this is what happens when you are under the cosh for long periods. To be honest - Kean (in recent matches) did look to have lessened the silly mistakes by trying to attack and not defend for 90 minutes.

deftangel
Goal No2 - it was always going to come. Seen nothing today that is an improvement of any of Sam's team away from home. The anti-Sam brigade on here were quick to criticise on any setback - but they don't like it now the ball is on the other foot. Last time we played Chelsea away we were at least 2 goals worse off. This performance validates your opinion no more than the one against Liverpool invalidated it. The difference being, instead or mere exuberance after an exciting home performance, your the one merrily chundering away on a messageboard when the team we ALL support is losing. The Spanish football is on later, why not find a pot to go with your kettle and watch Allardyce Madrid tear Barcelona a new one. You never know, it might cheer you up. Dan
Sam would have had this game wrapped up by now. Sigh. He'd be bringing on a 17 year to give him some experience right about now. At least we didn't write this game off before it started this time. Stupid errors and awful defending have cost us. We've looked poor second half, we looked very good first half. Rover Down Under
Seen nothing today that is an improvement of any of Sam's team away from home. Other than a -5 goal difference... On a positive note, Jason Lowe has a big heart, very promising young player. And I forgot how good Roque was at receiving and holding up the ball, great start for someone who has barely touched a ball since he left Ewood. martmitch
if any criticism can be given today its taking off a midfielder in order to have 3 strikers on the pitch, since hoiletts been off the 3 upfront have hardly had a touch
BRFC1995
with hindsight may have been worth signing roque next week..sure bill gates did more to earn his last 90k. game over, we really did'nt turn up today. Roll on next week and buying a midfield
ChesterRover
We've been weak in midfield for a long time, add to that the injuries & international call ups and what other option does Kean have? Definitely need numbers added this window, J J is a start! Great first half defensively, second half one to forget!

ultrablue
hopefullly a few signings will force pedersen out of midfield and onto the bench. Bobby G
Didnt offer anything going up front in the second half. Much better in the first half. POSITIVES: Roque. No one holds the ball up better or lays it off better at our club since Shearer. Also a special mention to Lowe. He was excellent too. Disappointed cause Chelsea were visibly out of confidence. Two silly goals off set pieces.
Fraserkirky
Very good in the first half, love the shape and the pace we have out wide. Second half we were far to deep.2 poor pieces of defending from set pieces cost us. Very tough playing against that midfield. Never mind. Next! jim mk2
Supine performance from Rovers - weak defending and no attacking threat. That's 7 points out of 18 for Kean including a a very fortunate victory at West Brom. Rovers held their shape in the 1st half but looked disjointed in the second period after poor substituions by the manager . Kean has it all to prove and justify the decision to replace Sam. As for Santa Cruz, he wandered around to no effect but will be happy with another £90,000 in his back pocket.
cesus
Not surprised by the result, not surprised they walked through our midfield. I am surprised at the shambolic defending for both goals. Some may disagree but for me the aim for todays game at Stamford Bridge with a thread bare midfield has to be to aim not to be humiliated, objective achieved. Big game with WBA next, im confident of a good result.
