American
Seems to be a lot of talk on the match thread about EHD, thought I'd move it over here. Agree with most that he has been an unsung hero this season so far. I'd argue that he's been our best midfielder. The problem is that it says a lot for the "quality" of our midfield that he would even be in the discussion for the best of the bunch. Would like to see him as a complimentary piece, helping where needed and causing havoc, but not being (arguably) the best we have.

Backroom Tom Posted December 29, 2010 Backroom Share Posted December 29, 2010 He's been great and crap in equal measures, at times s real menace to play against and at others a joy to play against.

slough_rover
According to Roberts he was getting loads of abuse on there so I think hes just suspended his account for the time being.
Ozz
During his warm ups going towards the Darwen End he got a shed load of abuse, his reply was to give them the fingers. Cue an array of bits and pieces thrown from the crowd. Liverpool singing "Where were you in Istanbul?"-What was that about? Then a copper has to have a word with him to calm down and stop winding the away end up with his antics. Finally, when he comes on he gets a warning from the ref 2 seconds in! Blue n White Rover
Probably because of this... http://cache.daylife...1pP3Gd/610x.jpg He's a tit, but he's OUR tit! Is it me or is that 3 fingers that he's sticking up? If so, there is nothing wrong with that. I remember Chimbonda doing the same when we played Wigan but because it's Diouf, he'll get more stick for it than others.

SergioPeter89
But why were the Scousers singing Where Were you in Istanbul? Probably because he left the club before they were in the Champions League final? I dont really know..
Martin
Diouf started the season brilliantly, but his impact on games has slowly decreased as the season progresses. He seems to get most pleasure from winding up the opposition fans these days. With Junior and Olsson flying it won't be easy to get back into the startin XI. Shame though, wonderfully talented (but paceless) player.
roversWASmylife
Pure wind up, the guy is an idiot but he knows how to get the crowd going or wind up the opposition. It was obvious he was going to get some stick from the Scousers and he took the mick out of them only for them to react like they had their benefits took away from them. Backroom Tom Posted January 6, 2011 Backroom Share Posted January 6, 2011 In fairness they were giving him grief so he just wound them up a bit more and they took the bait and started lobbing stuff, brainless. The chanting for Dalglish as the third went in made me laugh. Also how can the ref warn Diouf before he has put a foot wrong, blatant favouritism there. Montfort
He's a tit, but he's OUR tit! Hated him when he dived for that penalty against us all those years ago but he does make me smile nowadays. I probably shouldn't but cant help it. The above quote hits the nail on the head.

Amo
Warnock's comments about Diouf were tasteless and unprofessional but he does have a point. I often find myself cringing when Diouf starts playing the wannabe gangsta instead of getting on with the game. His form has also been frustratingly erratic this season. He either puts his experience to good use or phones it in and decides he'd rather work the crowd. Good to see the younger, more exciting players are easing him out of the team. Can't afford to keep this guy as a fringe player on his wages.
john.leigh
Players come and go all the time.If Diouf goes then it should be because Kean has no further need for him, not because of Neil Warnock's outburst. The cklub should be backing our player here. I find the comments that have come out of the QPR camp repulsive, I seriously think the FA should be looking at bringing a disrepute charge against this club. What El HAdj has (or hasn't) said on the field may not be sporting, but they were kept within the confines of the pitch & tunnel. QPR have now quite blatantly gone public with their comments and Tweets. These should not be tolerated. The threats that have been issued against our player are unacceptable & for a manager to 'suggest' that an opposing player should leave this continent is unbelievable!!! Warncok clearly knows the aggressive reputation of his own players and even admitted that he ommitted one of his players because he "might break a leg"... Thanks for trying to protect us Neil. john.leigh
I've sent this complaint to the FA, let's see if we get a response... As a fan of English football living in Australia, I am dismayed and disgusted to read the quotes of Neil Warnock and his QPR players relating to the Blackburn Rovers player El Hadji Diouf. What may, or may not, have been said on the pitch should be a matter between the players involved. To publicly issue disparaging comment on a fellow professional and to 'Tweet' thinly veiled threats is, in my opinion, bringing the game into disrepute. I sincerely hope the FA look into how their competition has been besmirched and that appropriate action is taken against those who have issued these demeaning public outbursts that are clearly not in keeping with the 'Respect' campaign. Guest linganzi
Dioufy is no angel but at the time he saw mackie go over the ball and it looked like gg was in a real mess. The downright hypocracy of warnock is amazing, not only did Qpr set up to have a go at us but his track record is massive, including encouraging leg breaking. Equally hypocritical is the ranting on Twitter, they come across as like teen chavs foaming at the mouth demanding retribution. Retribution came immediately for mackie, I don't blame him though, his leg break lays solely at the feet of Colin warnock
