rebelmswar Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 If this turns out to happen today and you hear that some man has been arrested for streaking through the streets of Burnley with a rose painted on each ass cheek, can someone bail me out?
Steve Moss Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 If this turns out to happen today and you hear that some man has been arrested for streaking through the streets of Burnley with a rose painted on each ass cheek, can someone bail me out? I'm shocked, Reb. Why would you, of all people, feel the need to be bailed out? Looking like that, I'm certain you'd be the most popular fella in Burnley's lock-up. On second thought, perhaps I should be heading off to the nearest Western Union while scanning the sky for the Bat Signal (appropriately modified).
Mercer Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Bookies' odds easing a little, not hardening. If it's going to happen then Rovers keeping cards very close to chest. Unless the plan is to announce once the Raos are safely on board plane back to India in order to avoid the inevitable difficult questions.
Kelbo Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 If this turns out to happen today and you hear that some man has been arrested for streaking through the streets of Burnley with a rose painted on each ass cheek, can someone bail me out? I will try, but if it is true, I think I will be on the Single Malts tonight in celebration so if the guy in the next cell is singing 'thank you very much for sacking Kean, thank you very much, thank you very, very much' can you get your mates to bail me out too??
beatrix Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Information I have been given is that Kean has been set up more as a general manager than a football manager, wouldnt surprise me if he gets a new improved deal, never mind the sack. These indians really dont know what they are doing, they are the ones that need to go if we are to repair the damage they have created, including replacing Kean with an experienced PL manager.

I have the best part of a litre of Glenmorangie in my rack if you feel like joining me.

I may just wear a top hat and sneakers and we could do this Kelbo.

IMO, would be even worse - we need this guy out of the club.

I am still not getting excited but if this is true then it could be they are giving him a nothing job to keep him on the books but out of the way rather than pay off his contract. (in effect gardening leave). No decent manager would come in with Kean still in a position of influence. As I said months ago if they want to keep him send him to India as academy director.
BPF Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 It's not going to happen. It makes sense to sack him and Venkys don't do anything that makes sense...
Jackson Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 The longer this drags, the more I'm hoping that the overlords and their soiled underpants are on the blower to his Roil highness.
Roost Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 If this turns out to happen today and you hear that some man has been arrested for streaking through the streets of Burnley with a rose painted on each ass cheek, can someone bail me out? Who's painting the roses?
Uxbridge rover Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I've got so many web pages open refreshing them all madly hoping to see the news we're all longing for. That is what slows the site down.
rebelmswar Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Who's painting the roses? Is that an offer Roost?
Blueboy Downunder Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Kamy - as our resident "in the knower", you know that you wanna tell us all the news that we want to hear....before day is out. we know that the owners are seriously ###### off after saturday, but we don't know to what extent. unless you can divulge that info
Torgeir Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I hope they've entered a phase of self realisation. First they sack Kean, then they get the Qataris back on board and sell the club before they disappear.

Somehow I dont see them paying Kean out then selling the club, I'm pretty sure they would have sold it first and let new owners pay off the staff they dont want.
Neal Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Would bloody love it if this was true. He're is a coincidence if true.... Ince sacked after Wigan away and Allardyce first game against Stoke.
rog of the rovers Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Someone mentioned earlier on about the recent 5pm press releases. Here's hoping we all get what we want in 5 minutes. Don't hold your breath though........
Hasta Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Apologies if posted elsewhere but... Keith Andrews slams Steve Kean. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Good old Keith (and to be fair I agree with him - drop him cos he's not good enough, not because the fans dont like him.)
Backroom DE. Posted November 21, 2011 Backroom Posted November 21, 2011 Apologies if posted elsewhere but... Keith Andrews slams Steve Kean. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Good old Keith (and to be fair I agree with him - drop him cos he's not good enough, not because the fans dont like him.) Whilst I actually agree that Andrews was a detriment to the team in terms of negative crowd reaction... for Kean to actually tell him that is laughable man management. We keep getting told he's a "great man manager" but it seems to me his technique primarily involves kissing the arse of the players he favours and treating those he doesn't like dirt on his shoe. See: Kalinic, Diouf, Andrews...

Stick him on 'gardening leave' and you defer the cost - whether a would be buyer would factor-in would be dependent on how much they wanted the club and much money they had (to QP, wouldn't have thought an issue).

Good old Keith (and to be fair I agree with him - drop him cos he's not good enough, not because the fans dont like him.) Probably didn't want to tell him he was crap so blamed it on the fans. Our Steve's got a bit of a track record for blaming fans for his own shortcomings.

Also surely with Kean out of the way, the club would become an infinitely more attractive proposition?
