Kamy100 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 The other thing to note, with the fans, team and media flying out to Pune over the international break. I can't see Venky's sacking Kean, a managerial change will throw most of their plans for this trip into turmoil.

Billy Castell Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Or a great time to do the PR stunt and say, "Kean has gone, and here is our new manager-Pep Guardiola. Ta-da" OK I'm more likely to invent a time machine and give Elizabeth I a good seeing to with Buddy Holly being a perv and watching, but the general idea would be valid. Surely getting rid of a usless manager and having a 'pre-season' game in India with a good manager would be a cunning move. Not that the idiot owners would do that.
Tony Diamond Inc Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 OK, let me tell you where I am. As one of the more vociferous posters in the 'give him time' corner, I have again voted that way. However, my concerns are raised that the expected (or potential) improvements that comes with time, are clearly not happening. The attacking philosophy is flawed at the moment, as it is simply leaving the back door open. The midfield is porous, and that can not be good for any defence. Against Citeh, the team selection, tactics, and to a lesser extent the result (as most teams will fall foul of Citeh this season) will determine which way I vote. Whilst my belief in the man's abilities are waning, my philosophy of allowing sufficient time remains unbowed. The day of reckoning is upon us.

But, fancy only being able to notice just now that things are not improving.
mark1875 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 does this twitter post have any truth behind it? http://twitter.com/#!/oztheroversman/status/118355642112147457 has kean actually on record called a section of rovers supporters morons?

You have ripped Keans team to shreds and then say give him more time. Where/how do you see him improving these players? Our games up to the end of October are: Man City (h) QPR (a) Spurs (h) Norwich (a) How many points do you really think we'll get from these?

mark1875 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 If he has, should be sacked on the spot. in the new alternative podcast thread usman refers to it being said around the 50 min mark, but as of yet i aint heard it? :s

According to Glen Mullan - see below. If true, enough is enough. This bloke is, IMO, such an arrogant tw@t. Moggy566Richard Moggridge @ @tonys61 @glen9mullan @rothy81 @OZTHEROVERSMAN When did he call the protestors morons? If that's true I'm out. 30 years of support gone. 1 hour agoFavoriteRetweetReply in reply to ↑ @glen9mullanglen mullan @Moggy566 @tonys61 @rothy81 @OZTHEROVERSMAN During the interview he did with Sky on last monday which was shown to me b4 it was cut for air
broadsword Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 It wouldn't surprise me, the fans have been treated quite shabbily since the takeover. We're probably all regarded as mugs. I'm caught between impotent rage and fatalistic resignation. Kean won't go any time soon, and we're stuck with the giblet robbers until we go down.

It lasted around 35 Minutes did Keans interview and Sky cut it to around 60 secs when it went out on Sky Sports News , and that is exactly what was said.
Backroom Tom Posted September 26, 2011 Backroom Posted September 26, 2011 Before flying off on this one I think we need some proof of it. It's all irelevent anyway, calling people who wanted him sacked morons isn't good at all but not enough to tip the scales I bet.

Do you have any contacts at Sky (or has anybody) who can get hold of this?
broadsword Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 There's really not much difference between "donut" and "moron", so I can imagine he did say. Innocent until proven guilty. But we can allow this one to stay on file, because the prosecution has more than enough evidence to send him down for a very long time to come.
Ferrit Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 It was sack before the Arsenal game, it was sack after the Arsenal game It was sack before the Newcastle game, it's sack after the Newcastle game. Don't let one result cloud your judgement, we were extremely lucky against Arsenal, the kind of luck you don't get every week. He still needs to go.
Moppy Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Do you have any contacts at Sky (or has anybody) who can get hold of this? If people do work for Sky they would have to work for Sky Sports division to stand a chance. Its a big company don't you know.

It's all irelevent anyway, calling people who wanted him sacked morons isn't good at all but not enough to tip the scales I bet. If he did describe some of the Rovers fans morons it is hardly the reason for sacking him, lots of other reasons you might find but a comment like that, come on guys, lighten up. He clearly doesn't understand what a moron actually is after all.

I agree with this post, Some fans have called him much worse, and its his results he has to be judged on, more than a throw away comment.

eire3382 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 What does it matter how he views the fans? Its much more important that he does a good job as manager of the club.......... SACK HIM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He clearly doesn't understand what a moron actually is after all. Gordon Brown called a lady from Rochdale something not dissimilar and that had a huge impact ! If Cameron called, for example, our police morons, do you think he'd still be sat in Downing St. ? I think it is absolutely appalling to describe any of our supporters morons when being interviewed for TV and I see no reason why Glen would be wrong on this.
roverandout Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 the biggest moron of all, is steve kean himself.
roverwhelmed Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 What does it matter how he views the fans? Its much more important that he does a good job as manager of the club.......... SACK HIM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It really made me angry when i heard that on the podcast. Sick to death of our views and opinions counting for nothing. I am finding it very difficult right now to feel connected to the club I love, because Venkys and Kean are royally ruining everything. People have been writing to the club for months, people who are passionate and hurting try to do something peaceful to highlight our discontent. He laughed and called supporters morons. I bet he would be devastated if this happened to Celtic/whoever he supports. Rah.

Glad to see that you are a supporter of political correctness Mercerman
imy9 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Morons? for an interview, that is shambolic and has wasted all the praise I gave him for previous interviews, what a plonker.
