DP Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Must win game. Draw would be horrible as seen as a good result for Kean. In the last 2 season, the teams who started with 1 win in the first 10 games, Pompey and West Ham, got relegated.

mark1875 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Robbo, Lowe, Samba, Givet, Olsson, Rochina, Nzonzi, Pedersen, Hoilett, Formica, Yakubu
Bluefudge Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Mr Nicolas not as bullish as last week on SSN. Does he know something we don't ?
Backroom Tom Posted October 29, 2011 Backroom Posted October 29, 2011 Rochina and the Yak start? What is this opposite day? Not much cover there for the fullbacks
chris Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Robbo, Lowe, Samba, Givet, Olsson, Rochina, Nzonzi, Pedersen, Hoilett, Formica, Yakubu doesn't look like a team that should be bottom, can see a win here
TugaysMarlboro Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 I'm going to give Kean a bit of praise for that team selection. He's kept Givet at CB, kept Rochina in the team and has put a goal scorer up front. Fair play Mr. Kean, it now remains to be seen whether your tactics can work with your player choices.
frosty Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 That's the exact team most of us wanted for today. So Kean has got that right, just don't mess it up any other way......COYB.
perthblue02 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Robbo, Lowe, Samba, Givet, Olsson, Rochina, Nzonzi, Pedersen, Hoilett, Formica, Yakubu doesn't look like a team that should be bottom, can see a win here TBH it doesn't so I will correct it so it does Robbo, Lowe, Samba, Givet, Olsson, Rochina, Nzonzi, Pedersen, Hoilett, Formica, Yakubu - Manager Steve Kean
SharrockDownSouth Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Good team in theory! Hopefully Rochina and Hoilett will put in the shift and track back! There'll be goals in this one for sure!
Bluefudge Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Prob the best starting 11 for a while. That team does have goals in it.
T4E Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 That team is capable of battering Norwich. Expecting a win here.
Amo Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Can't fault Kean with that side (did I just say that!?). Very surprised his mouthpiece Roberts didn't start.
Emge Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Hmm, one of the better team selections Ive seen in quite a while. Maybe I will actually enjoy this match, Ive sort of forgotten how to do that lately
John Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Mr Nicolas not as bullish as last week on SSN. Does he know something we don't ? What was he saying?
T4E Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Bench is Bunn, Dunn, Petrovic, Vukcevic, Goodwillie, Brownnose, Hanley.
bigbrandjohn Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Just seen the draw. we could get to the semis, we can win this game. Never mind protests getting to the junior players, they are getting to me. We need every ounce of energy to support this talented young team. I think Venkys have the message now, if we start winning and our new players start clicking I don't care if Janet Street Porter is manager. Come on you Rovers.
Doug Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Robbo Lowe Samba Givet Olsson Rochina Nzonzi Mgp Hoillet Formica Yak Got it right, (Kean I mean).
RibbleValleyRover Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Looking at the team it's probably the best side we can put out however the weaknesses are obvious and are there to be capitalised upon. Let's see how Rovers fare.
Al Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Bench is Bunn, Dunn, Petrovic, Vukcevic, Goodwillie, Brownnose, Hanley. No Dann. So Kean had no choice than to keep Givet at centre back. We need to offer him a new contract soon if he is prepared to stay.
Josh Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 not sure what Vukcevic did to get dropped but lets hope Rochina doesn't have his usual quiet game after playing well the game before
grizfoot Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Can't really argue with the starting line-up, it's the exact eleven I would have picked.
rock steady Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 norwich have looked pretty decent so far, but i'm going for a 3-2 win for rovers. blind optimism?
