[Archived] Kean Yet To Be Sacked

It's quite normal for no announcement to be made until all the ends are tied up. I don't think there is anything in that on this occasion.

The real question is are they negotiating severance pay or whether he actually gets sacked at all?

"Rovers have this morning declined to comment other than to say there will be no statement today, with negotiations expected to continue."

This is very sinister imo. Whenever else in the removal of any football manager anywhere from his position have 'negotiations' ever played a part in the decision? Negotiations occur AFTER termination of contract. If not the position becomes untenable.

Also negotiations require another or multiple parties so what gives at Ewood Park these days?

Good point.

or iv) To remove Kean another party also needs to be removed from the equation and that won't come cheap and possibly at the expense of point ii

Nothing to back this up but this whole thing as stank of 3rd parties since day 1 right from Desai's pre written fit and proper persons test to her pre written first interview

My thoughts too!

(although i'm still not sure Kean will be removed altogether from the equation-gone from public sight maybe).

Disagree T4E. Not with this lot it isn't. Neither Allardyce nor Williams had any notice before instruction was sent to sack Allardyce.

In fact every sacking they've done appears to have been conducted with almost indecent haste.

As stated previously though, others were pushing them to do those deeds. This is being done off their own backs.

If he isn't sacked then no-one should turn up for the next home game.

Kean would be gone in a day---no doubt about it. At the moment the low attendances are being blamed on last season--hence the

"we just need to win a few games and the feel-good factor will return" stuff.

Prove its really an anti-Kean boycott and he'll be gone. Don't turn up! Please!

This has to mean that they are still negotiating with the replacement, they probably cant risk canning Kean without a credible manager to step in, not least because of the current league position and the impact that a losing streak would have right now if the present 'coaching' set-up were placed in temporary charge, but also to control the media feeding frenzy about how unfair it might be on the follically-challenged half-wit, and to try protect what little is left of Venkys reputation.

We may look back quite soon and think Shabby has played a blinder

(or maybe not...............)

I suspect that there will need to be a massive non-disclosure document to be prepared, hence the delay... Remember this guy will have quite a lot on Venkys.

But surly if they knew they were going to sack him they would have all the relevant documentation written up and ready too go.

The LET doesn't say who the "negotiations are continuing" with. For all we know, it could be a replacement. Hopefully Jewell will hold on long enough for this to get seen through.

90% likely he goes in my view. They have prevaricated before every single decision with misleading statements more than common throughout. We shouldn't expect any different this time.
