Our bowling attack just is not there. Poor is an understatement

Curran and Carse going for nearly 10 an over. You’ll never win a game with those numbers

Given Ahmed’s and Livingstone’s figures it might have been a good idea to have given Jacks some overs.

I don’t think Buttler is even close to being captain material.

Sam Curran's 2.5 death overs went for 53 runs.

Wow.

he has gone off the boil in the last 18 months.

Why didn't he bowl Jacks and even Brook medium pace. I didn't see the game but it appears the wicket needed England to take pace off the ball

Agree re Curran.

I really do think it boils down to Buttler not being a good captain - he doesn’t seem to be able to react to conditions etc.

Maybe so but we have experience cricketers like Livingstone, Duckett, Crawley and Curran who could suggested things to Buttler during the game.

You look at Stokes as Captain he has ideas but other people suggest ideas or plans to him whether it Root, Bairstow, Leach, Broad or Anderson

I think Crawley or Pope will be white ball captain shortly

Yep, compared to other sports,  cricket has a lot more scope for group discussions  - of course ultimately the captain needs to make the final call.

Let’s hope we see some improvements (and a win) on Wednesday.

WI win an ODI series v England for the first time in 25 years, I think.

It was nip and tuck with WI falling slightly behind in the run rate until that Atkinson over for 24, the game changer together with Livingstone's catch boundary FU.

The dismal reign of Butler staggers on. Maybe he's just not suited to the stresses of the top job which appears to be adversely effecting his overall game.
