Best transfer window for ages. If Rhodes or Rudy get injured then we play 4-5-1. It's not rocket science. Bring in a cb on loan till the summer and we are covered whilst the wage bill has got closer to reality...

Hell, we could even go three at the back and play wing backs. We may have to now with no possibility of bringing in any other players this season. Other than the loan window.

What was that about the 'loan window' Bob ?

Aye, let's gets Norwich U 21 team, stuffed us with Dunny 5-0.

Yes, I was suggesting we get Norwich's U 21's in, clearly. Good point well made.

When 'Arry took over at QPR he complained at the size of the squad.

Aaron Hughes a good loan signing we have missed though.

I expect the number crunchers in the accounts department will be delighted with Dann's departure. For those who remember it, Never Mind the Quality, Feel the Width.

Did the same thing a couple of years back. Wonderful memories! At least they can't take those away eh? What great strikers we had.

4 of them!

I would say 2 great, 1 ok but injured and 1 not good enough!

The biggest miss by GB was 'Arry picking up Aaron Hughes on loan until the end if the season.

Letting Dann goes will save money, but unless a suitable replacement comes in, then it's going to make a huge difference to the promotion push in my opinion.

At times we've struggled at the best of times at the back, but with Dann going we will suffer defensively, unless GB can work wonders in the loan window. As for Neill, I can't see him doing a job in the Championship in the centre. I wouldn't be that keen on him, and I'd say if he's played then he'll end up replacing Todd Kane who as been in fine form this season and will rule out a chance of signing him on a permanent.

Suffering a ruptured testicle and playing on the remainder of the match isn't?

For Scott Dann's sake I'm glad he's moved as the criticism he's got from some supporters here has been poor. Yes, he's made mistakes, as did Nelsen, Samba, Todd, Short, Oojer and Amoruso in recent years, but everyone gave their all including him.

Will be a shame if we miss out on Varney. Excellent grafter and has a fairly decent reputation as a goal scorer.

Another loss was Macheda who will get several goals for Birmingham. Would have been a useful addition until the end of the season.

he has been rubbish this season, thats why henley is back in the team.

Let's try this again, one last time; The loan window opens next week.

It's opens next Saturday and by that time we will have played two more games. The Club have needed another forward since DJ left as Best isn't picked. And it has been pretty common knowledge that Dann was probably going to leave during the window yet they have done nothing to replace him, pure laziness from club not getting these things sorted now. And just say Dour Bowyer were to make some fabulous loan signings (which I highly doubt he will) and we were to scrape into the playoffs (which should be our aim), then these loan signings could not play in the playoffs as they would be 3 month loans where as if he signed them now on a season long loan now they could play in them. Very poor from the Club.

The squad depth is the only real thing to worry about, but hopefully that might be dealt with next week. A lot of crap has been moved on, the wage bill is much lower and Rhodes is still here. The only other thing is that Best is sadly still here.

We have king who can play up top and dunny / cairney who can play just off a striker. We obviously thought varney would come in, but leeds have obviosuly imploded tonight and stitched us a bit. Either way we are fine upfront

Poor old Celtic might have to sell Joe Ledley. I do hope it doesn't affect their title chances.

Just bought a good replacement in Stefan Johansen.

They could have bought my mother in law and still walked it.

Although she'd have needed a sit down once or twice along the way.

When you consider Best and Etuhu are on roughly £35k pw, Dann at £37k seems a snip!

You have been to too many bar mitzvahs

King has one goal all season, he is a far better winger than striker and his finishing is awful. Dunny only plays 60 minutes a game and he is hardly reliable with his fitness. And when I have seen Cairney in that role earlier in the season failed he convince me in it and I personal would like to see 2 upfront.

The worrying thing in all this transfer malarkey is not who we may get or who we may lose, but the culprits on board that are responsible for agreeing such vast wages for absolute no marks.
