The PL and its teams doesn't need to play league games overseas given that The PL goes to America and the far east during pre season. Also given the revenue streams from the PL, other leagues don't generate that. Giving them a few weeks notice doesn't make it right - the logistics make it really difficult for travelling supporters. Millwall fans travelling by train to Preston could catch the 07.11 from Euston. Firstly they would have to travel across London which will be around an hour from Lewisham. It gets into Preston at 10.51. The earlier train is 06.08 which will mean them leaving home at around 5 am I'm sure if you were a regular away match attendee and the changes had a direct effect on you you might think differently (at least I hope you would). PS sorry for so much detail but I'm just trying to emphasise my point to Chaddy who doesn't seem to grasp the issues this causes for genuine supporters. 5 Quote

Mattyblue Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Most Millwall fans live in the outer London boroughs these days (likes of Bromley) and into Kent, an absolute faff trying to get to Blackburn for half 12… still, just get a hotel ay. Edited 3 hours ago by Mattyblue 3 Quote
wilsdenrover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Do Sky publish individual viewing figures for all these extra matches? If not, why not? 1 Quote

What have done other than moaning on here? What other time could the games be play? Maybe 5.30pm and 8pm on Saturday then 12pm, 2.30pm 5pm and 7pm Sunday? Blimey if they did that you would complaining and moaning then? Fans have been plenty of notice of games being moved which they never had before. You planned your time, book hotel and book time of work. If I want to go to Saturday away game, I have to book a day off work, but do I complain or moan like you do, no cos it's my choice to work nights and want to that away game. Some people go to regular away games. Will they have to repeatedly go down the night before and get hotels and book time off? @arbitro highlights examples of the nightmare it can cause re public transport but you dont use it so you dont acknowledge it. And what about even home fans who might have for example their kids playing football in the morning? Ive told you my alternative and it isnt a series of different kick offs across the weekend. Its to revert back just to 1 game each Saturday 12.30. The viewing figures for the other 6 games must be very small because you can only watch 1 at once. Its not worth the inconvenience. Yes it means clubs getting less money, so less greed which only ends up in the hands of players, agents, directors etc anyway, clubs are still losing loads of money. It also gives Sky less chance to keep putting up their prices. Its not going to happen, football clubs, the EFL and Sky dont care about fans, but at least acknowledge that it causes massive inconveniences up and down the country for fans and is just greed going out of control. 2 Quote
Upside Down Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Who needs to use public transport when your car can do 15,000 miles to the gallon? I'm looking forward to us discussing how you get to the 12:30 Birmingham away kick off by canoe again. That was interesting. 1 Quote
