I agree with you here we should empty ewood to show we want change 4 Quote
Mattyblue Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago A Sky game when we’ve struggled to sell 9,000 STs, with a relatively small away following too at £30-£35 (£32 to £37 in the ticket office) a pop. I doubt it will be any higher than a standard Saturday game, I.e vast swathes of empty seats. Well done all. 👏 2 Quote

Maybe a charity 5 a side of all ex-rovers players. Would have said get Jordan Rhodes involved in this but can’t say that now 🤣 Rudy wouldn’t allow him. Quote

Upside Down Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago It will be a bumper crowd for rubber snake day. Rovers will probably even wear a special shirt to commemorate it. No doubt said shirt will be all white with a Maltese cross, something which there is no record of the club ever playing in previously. 🐍 🐍🐍 2 Quote

Southside Rover Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Or boycott the rest of the ground, these with a voice pack the JW, turn backs to the pitch and chant constantly at the regime. Too comfortable with most of the noise coming from the end of the ground, in the same stand in front of them really turns up the heat. Even more so whilst on Sky. 3 Quote

It is going to be embarrassing all the way round. Question is will VI still be here by then, will he still be here when this international break is finished. 1 Quote

I imagine Sky will come up with a Venky defence and be ridiculing the fans just like before. 1 Quote

Old Rover Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This article refers to Sheffield Wednesday, it says EFL clubs get sold for 2 to 3 tomes their revenue, our revenue in the last accounts was 21.5 million, so around 50 million should do it. Chansiri has admitted he turned down two offers for the club earlier this summer, claiming one was worth £40m, with another £30m from a US-based group. At the time, the 57-year-old said in a statement: "I repeat that I am willing to sell but the deal must be correct on all fronts." The valuation Chansiri has put on the Owls is understood to be about £100m, more than two-and-a-half times what he paid when he bought the club from previous owner Milan Mandaric in 2015. Is that figure fair? With inflation, the £37.5m Chansiri parted with a decade ago would now be worth about £52m, still only around half of what he seems to be demanding to relinquish control now. "Most EFL clubs are being sold for roughly two or two-and-a-half times their revenue," says football finance expert Kieran Maguire. "In Sheffield Wednesday's case, that puts them in the region of about £40m to £50m. "When you take into consideration the state of the stadium, and the fact the club doesn't own it, they should be towards the bottom of that scale. The £100m valuation appears to be without merit and has no logical backing." During Chansiri's time in charge of the club, Wednesday have lost almost £200m. He originally spent heavily as he targeted a return to the Premier League for the first time since 2000, and has regularly turned down significant bids from rival clubs for sought-after players. But in recent years his spending has receded significantly, and the Owls are far more likely to be playing in League One than the Premier League in the next few years. Quote

Given this valuation and how supposedly our owners send £20m per year to keep the club afloat (although do have my doubts) is it any wonder that they are being asked to provided a bond, to be able to send future funds? There has been a statement made to the effect that they need to send this money to protect their investment, but given that every 2 and half years, the amount they send, is equivalent to the current value, that statement appears to be very miss leading. Perhaps that is the reason the judge keeps going AWOL as he will not be waiving the need for a bond, despite these frequent attempts to do so. Quote

I don’t think the judge has an issue doing and saying exactly what he wants. 😁 2 Quote
