Of course, what idiots we are, the focus of the Regime as ever is to keep costs down for fans, offer great value and strengthening connections between fans and club.

Anyone who thinks this is just a cynical cost cutting scheme really needs to get their facts right.

I applaud their honesty and transparency. Praise the communication!

So you can watch Sky Sports, but they are charging you £15 to go somewhere where you can watch it.

Bloody hell.

But look on the bright side, you get pie, peas and a pint.

I got a reply from the club regarding no sky sports (personally I think they should be trying to make it a bit of a sports bar vibe with rovers historic pictures plastered everywhere, not sure i want to watch re runs of games and interviews we've already seen. 😞

Last season, because of the high subscription fees charged by Sky Sports, we had to introduce a matchday membership fee for access to Blues. To keep Sky Sports in Blues this season, the subscription costs would have been significant, meaning we’d have had to increase the price of membership.

Instead, we want to make Blues accessible and affordable for all supporters. Over the summer we made the decision to switch to RoversTV, which allows us to remove the subscription charge while still offering great matchday value.

We understand that some fans enjoy watching the 12:30pm and 5:30pm televised fixtures. For those supporters, Sky Sports will still be available in Jack’s Kitchen on a matchday, with access available as part of a £15 upgrade.

In Blues, we’ll be showing classic Rovers matches and exclusive Rovers content before and after the game, creating a space that feels even more connected to the club.

So, after a game when we head in there for extra beerios... we can't watch the results and highlights from around the league? That's bonkers 🤣 in a SPORTS BAR!!! THATS ATTACHED TO A FOOTBALL CLUB!!!🤣🤣🤣

Mental.

Probably a percentage of the money they save !

I always assumed that given the League's deal with Sky, the club being part of the Sky show and all that they wouldn't actually then have to pay to broadcast Sky at the club.

The sort of balancing act decision that a local boozer or sports club has to weigh up not a multi million pound Championship football club.

It’s the kind of thing that would even raise your eyebrow if you heard about it at a Darwen or Clitheroe FC.

I mean, Blackburn Rovers and it can’t even pay the Sky bill… everything Jack built and we are now back to Bobby Saxton fishing the spare balls out the River Darwen levels… yet with billionaire owners.

I posted last week that just when you think we couldn't sink any lower they somehow seem to manage to surprise us time after time.

This is only a relatively small thing but arguably it's another of those times.

Just so we know exactly what we're talking about, how much is membership for Blues this season and how much was it last season?

Im guessing that you still have to pay the same membership fee as last season and they've simply removed the Sky offering rather than them removing Sky and scrapping any membership fee by way of compensation?

Despite all the old tosh about offering "great matchday value".

Is that an extra £15 every time you go in Jack's or a one off £15 charge as part of a seasonal  upgrade to your Blues membership?

A shame the ownership isn't one of them.

Still as long as they remain embroiled in an investigation and Court proceedings in India I will continue to hold out faint hope of it being brought to an end in the not-too-distant future.

I'm not paying anything to go into a bar when there's perfectly good pubs in the vicinity it's them we should be supporting

Parking prices increased...low pay staff having to pay for parking ...Sky sports removed from the blues bar ....wouldnt surprise me if the next step is charging people to take pictures of the statue of Uncle Jack

Years of hell for us long suffering supporters and it doesn't look like ending anytime soon.It Is all very depressing

If it is £15 extra every time you want to go into Jack's - can you imagine any Pub saying "Yep it's £15" if you want to be in here at any point when the game's on"

"But dont worry - we'll chuck in a few sandwiches at half time!"

They wouldn't remain in business 2 mins.
