JHRover Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Of course, what idiots we are, the focus of the Regime as ever is to keep costs down for fans, offer great value and strengthening connections between fans and club. Anyone who thinks this is just a cynical cost cutting scheme really needs to get their facts right. I applaud their honesty and transparency. Praise the communication! 1 Quote

To keep Sky Sports in Blues this season, the subscription costs would have been significant, meaning we’d have had to increase the price of membership. Instead, we want to make Blues accessible and affordable for all supporters. Over the summer we made the decision to switch to RoversTV, which allows us to remove the subscription charge while still offering great matchday value. We understand that some fans enjoy watching the 12:30pm and 5:30pm televised fixtures. For those supporters, Sky Sports will still be available in Jack’s Kitchen on a matchday, with access available as part of a £15 upgrade. In Blues, we’ll be showing classic Rovers matches and exclusive Rovers content before and after the game, creating a space that feels even more connected to the club. So, after a game when we head in there for extra beerios... we can't watch the results and highlights from around the league? That's bonkers 🤣 in a SPORTS BAR!!! THATS ATTACHED TO A FOOTBALL CLUB!!!🤣🤣🤣 Mental. 1 Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Perhaps one day the final few will wake up to what’s going on at our once proud football club. But I really wouldn’t bank on it. 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago does anyone think venkys really know whats going on???,horrible bunch of scrotes yes but i can`t see them being to bothered about a sky sports subscription tbh, there is definately a hidden agenda with certain figures in the club,to penny pinch on that extent there must be something behind it Quote

JHRover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I always assumed that given the League's deal with Sky, the club being part of the Sky show and all that they wouldn't actually then have to pay to broadcast Sky at the club. The sort of balancing act decision that a local boozer or sports club has to weigh up not a multi million pound Championship football club. 3 Quote
Mattyblue Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It’s the kind of thing that would even raise your eyebrow if you heard about it at a Darwen or Clitheroe FC. I mean, Blackburn Rovers and it can’t even pay the Sky bill… everything Jack built and we are now back to Bobby Saxton fishing the spare balls out the River Darwen levels… yet with billionaire owners. 4 Quote

I posted last week that just when you think we couldn't sink any lower they somehow seem to manage to surprise us time after time. This is only a relatively small thing but arguably it's another of those times. Just so we know exactly what we're talking about, how much is membership for Blues this season and how much was it last season? Im guessing that you still have to pay the same membership fee as last season and they've simply removed the Sky offering rather than them removing Sky and scrapping any membership fee by way of compensation? Despite all the old tosh about offering "great matchday value". Quote

JHRover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago A shame the ownership isn't one of them. Still as long as they remain embroiled in an investigation and Court proceedings in India I will continue to hold out faint hope of it being brought to an end in the not-too-distant future. Quote

islander200 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Parking prices increased...low pay staff having to pay for parking ...Sky sports removed from the blues bar ....wouldnt surprise me if the next step is charging people to take pictures of the statue of Uncle Jack Years of hell for us long suffering supporters and it doesn't look like ending anytime soon.It Is all very depressing 1 Quote

superniko Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Someone post a few dodgy sticks over to this address please: Shadow man, Ewood Park, The filthy, neglected stadium in Blackburn, BB2 4JF As Matty says you’d almost question it if it was your local non-league club / clubhouse. It’s the bloody Blues Bar in Ewood Park, have some pride you useless shower Edited 1 hour ago by superniko Quote

TugaysMarlboro Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago I've always thought the best plan of action is trying to get some kind of traction in the Indian media, although I'm sure it's nigh on impossible. Indian farmers have been struggling and protesting for a number of years, with Venkys a huge proponent of contracting farming. I wonder if the regular person in India is aware they've spunked £200m over 15 years on a failed sporting project in England, all whilst they're scrapping the barrel to survive? It would be horrible to see Joe public in India go against the Venksters. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted 26 minutes ago Backroom Posted 26 minutes ago This feels simultaneously a minor thing but a new low at the same time, not even willing to stump up a few thousand Without passing it on to the fans You’d not expect it of a non league club never mind us 2 Quote
SuperBrfc Posted 25 minutes ago Posted 25 minutes ago Imagine... You're a flash Indian businessman well known around Pune. Your family run business is one of the biggest poultry producers in Asia. People respect your family and the work you do around India. People know of your wealth and status in India. You boast the likes of Akon, Salman Khan (Bollywood), Ronaldinho and others among your friendship group. You try to throw the biggest and best parties in India every year, with as many 'big' names invited as possible. But then...you have to cancel a Sky Sports subscription at a sports bar connected to the football club you own in a small town in Lancashire. Makes sense. If any of the Rao's are reading this, get a f#@king grip and get Pasha out! This is embarrassing. 1 Quote
Mike Graham Posted 23 minutes ago Posted 23 minutes ago The Sky licence should be for the whole of Ewood Park not a separate one for Blues. Unless of course Sodexo pay for Jacks Kitchen and the Club are responsible for Blues. Regardless of the above it is tight arsed penny pinching, totally embarrassing. I am minded to slip a Fire Stick in the Blues TV feed and see if the Club notices. Quote
