Why would any Rovers fans want a nice cordial chat and a picture with them tossers?

Didn't Mowbray said Subail is good bloke?

In defence of the photo, there is a bit of a running gag on X that whoever that lad has his photo with gets cursed as something tends to happen to them, so think he's done it as a joke.

In no way do I think its a thumbs up to the regime.

The lad is a very passionate Rovers fan.

emailed her a number of Rovers issues or other things, always replied and well within a couple of hours. A very lovely lady and good luck to her in your new employment

Me too.

A very nice lady and I sincerely hope she hasn’t been forced out of the door.

Mowbray seems to think everyones a good bloke.

Whereas Suhail is helping to oversee the destruction of the club.

Mowbray said the owners are nice caring people.

All the evidence shows they are the opposite of that. What people say and impressions people get often don't correspond to actions and what happens.

Tony Mowbray earned several million quid off the owners and their puppet and was allowed to plod along till the end of that contract. Along the way bringing in some of his mates players, employing his mates both above and below him and generally just doing what he wanted within reason.

He's unlikely to say anything other than how nice they were - to him personally.

And plenty of people who actually care about Blackburn Rovers, pretty much all who have met him in fact, have said he’s the exact opposite.

I never met him so I can't comment. You have met a few times and you are much better to comment on this.

Have you met Gestede at these FF meetings and what is he like?

So not even an attempt at an explanation  forthcoming about how we ended up with various sets of minutes coming out of the last meeting or how the sanitised/edited/enhanced version was apparently agreed with the Club?

Brush it under the carpet and hope it's forgotten?

Back to tea and biscuits and the Club saying "We'll look into it" to  everything?

From my limited interactions I’d say Gestede conducts himself professionally and shows basic manners, which is a step up.

However, people whose word I trust tell a very different story when it comes to their interactions.

I’m a lot less interested in what he has to say than Suhail as I’m a lot more concerned about what’s going on off the pitch (Suhail’s remit) than on the pitch (Gestede’s remit), and any on pitch problems are likely to have a root cause of Suhail anyway.

That said, much of what he has come out and said publicly isn’t great. He appears happy to dumb down under his mates instructions. The clubs stance against Travis supposedly refusing to play seems highly hypocritical on his part.

Thanks for the reply Duncan 👍

Is this yet another cost cutting exercise?  Rovers used to pay for a guy with a falcon to come to the stadium a couple of times a week to scare away the pigeons and seagulls.  It now appeared that we have a plastic falcon instead.

Any ideas of a nickname for the plastic falcon? I fancy ‘Pasha the Pretend Peregrine’.

I just had a closer look at the above photo. The paint on the roof steelwork is peeling away and the Brian Douglas plastic wrap is starting to peel off.  Some basic maintenance needs to take place.

There’s more to it than a bit of routine maintenance I believe. I think there’s some legal/fire safety related work required with regards to the stands. I can’t quite remember the deadline we have to complete the work but it’s expensive, well over a million to complete it. I’ll ask my contact for more detail when I see him but it’s not optional work I know that.

Prepare for the narrative that the fire brigade are all snakes and out to get Rovers because they've closed down the stand.

Couldn't be venkys fault, they never refuse to sign a cheque.

No doubt Ossydave will clarify in due course but Im interested he said "stands" (plural)

If that's the case presumably they'll have to do something?

They do, I'm almost certain it needs doing by the end of the year too but I'll double check that

If its all 4 stands, then surely this is there perfect excuse to shut the Riverside?

I'm amazed they have resisted the urge to close it this far to he honest.
