In no way do I think its a thumbs up to the regime. The lad is a very passionate Rovers fan. Quote

JHRover Posted yesterday at 14:27 Posted yesterday at 14:27 Mowbray said the owners are nice caring people. All the evidence shows they are the opposite of that. What people say and impressions people get often don't correspond to actions and what happens. Quote
Tomphil2 Posted yesterday at 14:39 Posted yesterday at 14:39 Tony Mowbray earned several million quid off the owners and their puppet and was allowed to plod along till the end of that contract. Along the way bringing in some of his mates players, employing his mates both above and below him and generally just doing what he wanted within reason. He's unlikely to say anything other than how nice they were - to him personally. 6 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted yesterday at 16:55 Posted yesterday at 16:55 So not even an attempt at an explanation forthcoming about how we ended up with various sets of minutes coming out of the last meeting or how the sanitised/edited/enhanced version was apparently agreed with the Club? Brush it under the carpet and hope it's forgotten? Back to tea and biscuits and the Club saying "We'll look into it" to everything? 3 Quote

Have you met Gestede at these FF meetings and what is he like? From my limited interactions I’d say Gestede conducts himself professionally and shows basic manners, which is a step up. However, people whose word I trust tell a very different story when it comes to their interactions. I’m a lot less interested in what he has to say than Suhail as I’m a lot more concerned about what’s going on off the pitch (Suhail’s remit) than on the pitch (Gestede’s remit), and any on pitch problems are likely to have a root cause of Suhail anyway. That said, much of what he has come out and said publicly isn’t great. He appears happy to dumb down under his mates instructions. The clubs stance against Travis supposedly refusing to play seems highly hypocritical on his part. 1 Quote

Rovers used to pay for a guy with a falcon to come to the stadium a couple of times a week to scare away the pigeons and seagulls. It now appeared that we have a plastic falcon instead. Any ideas of a nickname for the plastic falcon? I fancy ‘Pasha the Pretend Peregrine’. I just had a closer look at the above photo. The paint on the roof steelwork is peeling away and the Brian Douglas plastic wrap is starting to peel off. Some basic maintenance needs to take place. There’s more to it than a bit of routine maintenance I believe. I think there’s some legal/fire safety related work required with regards to the stands. I can’t quite remember the deadline we have to complete the work but it’s expensive, well over a million to complete it. I’ll ask my contact for more detail when I see him but it’s not optional work I know that. Quote

Prepare for the narrative that the fire brigade are all snakes and out to get Rovers because they've closed down the stand. Couldn't be venkys fault, they never refuse to sign a cheque. Quote

Mattyblue Posted yesterday at 21:02 Posted yesterday at 21:02 Irony being the Riverside is the only stand that’s actually got more bums on seats in it this season. Quote
Tomphil2 Posted yesterday at 21:45 Posted yesterday at 21:45 Knowing this lot they'll shut the BBE and send everybody to the riverside. They seem to be actively trying to reduce people buying tickets in there anyway. Quote

Gutted Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I know it won’t make much difference as such but I would encourage everyone to complete the ‘We Want to Hear From You’ post match survey that is sent out following each home game. It gives the opportunity to score out of 10 the experience such as food and drink / stewards / access / facilities etc. More importantly there is also a comments section where they ask your opinion on what can be done to improve things. If virtually everyone makes their feelings about the cancer that is Venkys and their stooges abundantly clear it can’t do any harm. As I say I know it won’t make any material difference, but feel it is an opportunity for everyone to make their feelings known once a fortnight, or at least until they remove the comments section, and it is better to do so than not.
