sharpysharps86 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Looks like there will be a new head coach on the touchline for this one. Hopefully it brings some needed changes from the starting 11 against Swansea. Norwich are quite indifferent away from home by the looks of it, but I think this one might just be a score draw. 1-1. Gueye for Rovers, Sainz for Norwich. The team I would go with: Pears Brittain Carter Hyam Ribeiro Travis Buckley Dolan Dennis Kargbo Gueye If Cantwell is fit then I can see him coming in. Hopefully Ohashi gets some minutes and maybe Tronstad on the bench with a bit of luck. It'll be too soon for him to return to the starting 11 I imagine. 3 Quote

Dennis not included in U21 team nor is he on bench. Is it because we are playing NFFC?? Edited February 24 by Cherry Blue Quote

Or even Dennis on the right with Cantwell in the middle...I'm curious to see how Dennis fits with Ismael, seeing as they've worked together before. Quote
islander200 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Do people really think Dennis is ready to be starting games after his showings so far?Looks off it to me, should be getting minutes for the under 21s tonight 1 Quote
Upside Down Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Easy away win as we slide out of the playoff spots, much to the delight of the shadow man and his masters. 1 Quote

philipl Posted February 25 Posted February 25 David Lowe completely messed up at Swansea so probably gets the chance to mess up this 6 pointer too. Norwich are a shoot on sight outfit so keeper position is a nightmare choice. Close to a full squad to select from so Ribeiro apart, our January significant investment will disappear without trace. 1 Quote

If we want to make it to defeats in a row, I would put Pears in goal and give useless Hedges another 90 minutes. 2 Quote
RoversTilliDie Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Theres only one thing to do, after that pathetic performance on Saturday, put it behind us, and onwards and upwards. Karagabo should be on from the start for me, he's a lot better than some of the slackers in the team. Quote

because of boxing day Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Norwich playing style is similar to but better than Swansea. Our lot, apart from the two Weimann efforts early doors never laid a glove on Swansea. I fear even with new coach good vibes that Norwich relentless attacking style will tear into us relatively unopposed. Norwich however do have one Shane Duffy at the heart of their defence and if he's not on it Gueye could have an impact. I foresee a ferocious battle between those two. Quote

StHelensRover Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Wonder what the conversation has been with Ismael about Dennis and what he will do about him. Are we actually paying forest £20k per week for him until end of season? Huge outlay for us if he only ends up playing a couple of matches. Quote
superniko Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Amongst all the manager talk I think the size of this game has fallen under the radar. If Rovers win, we move 7 points clear of Norwich, close to knocking them out of the race with only 11 games to go. Let’s hope we get a combination of new manager bounce + long away trip for 12pm. Lose and I doubt we’ll make it back into the top 6 3 Quote

Ianrally Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Referee is a local from Freckleton. Will he be on our side I wonder. Quote

Neal Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Another comfortable loss to accelerate our slide down the table for a bottom half finish. 1 Quote
TheRevAshton Posted February 26 Posted February 26 After that "performance" against Swansea, this just seems like a nailed-on loss to me... Would be very happy to be proven wrong, however. Quote
