I asked something similar at the weekend and it's crossing my mind again.

Transfer window about to close with only one proper signing, next game is set for a fan boycott, now might be the perfect time to pot him from the regime's point of view.

I hope there's nobody after 15 years who still believes we operate like a normal football club.

Kean was allowed to take us out of the top flight because the owners liked him and he toed the party line, ultimately resigning while the going was good.

As long as Ismael says the right things, he'll be safe. Rudy won't want him sacked, because he might carry the can. The only way I could see him gone is if Pasha throws Rudy under the bus. Either way, I think the owners would prefer to gamble on League One status rather than paying off a two year deal. And Ismael won't resign because few modern managers do, not to mention he won't have many takers after this.

He threw that game tonight he should be sacked before he boards the coach but he won't be.

Reason being they are yet again putting playing youth before results the very policy that nearly had us down in under JDT but Waggot railed against it.

So they bring Gestede in to not rock the boat and as i said that line up tonight, thrown game.

Those trying to play the super fans v Watford are complicit with this shite and you are having the piss taken out of you by this lot.

Not disagreeing with you necessarily but on the flip side, for a Club that professes to want to develop Academy talent they have what appear to be reasonable talents right under their noses in the likes of Powell and Pratt but buy in absolute shite like Cashin and De Neve to start ahead of them.

Rudy is far too arrogant to sack him - doing so would be an admission that his project is wrong / not working, and he wouldn’t want to disrupt the longest transitional phase in history.

I'm waiting for a photo of the corner flag and a statement from ChatGPT about a sacking now.

"Despite significant investment in the playing squad, we understand supporter frustrations with the performance of the first team this season (They don't). Now is the time for all supporters to come together and back the team for the remainder of the season in the championship (It isn't, it's time to boycott the Watford game and show we're sick of this)."

Sacking another manager is just a side show, VI isn’t the problem, John Eustace wasn’t problem, JDT either…..

Sacking a manager buys the 2 morons in JW directors box time and the 3 stooges in Pune time.

VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.

I’ve never known a manager have so many excuses. If it’s not working try something new you moron instead rolling out the same shite each game and sitting there with your arms folded. It’s called being a football manager.

Of course. No contentious referee calls tonight so it’s just the injuries:

I would buy it if we weren't tragically bad with those players as well. We are disorganised at the back, seemingly have no coached way of moving past the halfway line, do nothing to protect our players, don't use subs even to save some legs. In addition, a school team could put together better set pieces than our so called expert in charge.

Even with our strongest team we rarely get more than a couple of shots on target.

Val has no passion and puts in little to no effort to help the team. He's an excuse merchant who takes no accountability and the sooner I don't have to watch him sulk in his chair on the sidelines the better.

Who actually makes the decision? Rudy? Suhail? Someone in Pune?

What a sorry fucking state we’re in.

Nobody knows but it's set up that way at Ewood on purpose so nobody can be held to account.

Suhail says the owners, Rudy side steps it and drags in Adam Owen.

For me the buck stops with the shadowman and he should get it both barrels on Saturday from the handful there.

As I say - Henrikkson, De Neve, Gardner-Hickman (Hyam's replacement), Moussa Baradji and McLoughlin all available tonight. This is not about injuries, it's all about appalling, naive and arrogant recruitment from Ismael and Gestede, and a lack of real investment from the owners.

To top it off Ismael is a terrible manager. One of the worst we've ever had.

Completely agree with you 100%. We are forever kicking the can down the road with Pasha & Gestede here.

If we go down though, that’s it this time I think. There’ll be no immediate bounce back.

Just feel we need to hang onto Championship status for the club to survive and VI is way out of his depth and taking us down.

Need a Mark Hughes here. Get the players playing with a bit of fight.

Getting so many injuries is not just down to bad luck. It's also due to an unwillingness to rotate the squad (because the squad depth is so poor), the high intensity (yet very ineffective) playing style as well as having several players who are known to be injury prone. Also let's not forget that there's some proper dross amongst those players currently out injured.

Please dont compare VI with JDT and Eustace!

No doubt that the Venky's need to go but in the meantime on the pitch we need to try and cling onto Championship status and the only chance of doing that is to remove VI asap.

May or may not work but at least we will have tried.

If they leave him in situ it will speak volumes.

After our transfer dealings in the summer, I predicted we would be in a relegation fight, but, unlike the last time around, the problem is that not many will look at this squad and think, "yes, I can save them!"

I can think of a couple who are crazy enough and good managers, but unfortunately, most of those who believe they can save us will just be crazy.

It's about now that Ismael learns truly what sort of club he is working for as he comes to realise that our results and league position are absolutely irrelevant to the ownership and 'board'. Unfortunately it seems a lot of supporters are still under the impression that things like results, position etc. have any relevance to the decision makers at the club.

Up to this point, despite his return being woeful, we have kept our heads above water, making it easy for the regime to do nothing and leave it.

Now we are sinking fast he will probably expect, and even want, the sack and a pay-off. But he's going to realise that unlike all his previous clubs, who fired him off after 30-40 games maximum, this regime have no intention of doing such things and they will leave him to keep on going inflicting even more damage.

It's either because the 'board' don't have the authority to sack managers, requiring permission from head office in India which they can't get, or because the 'board' are unwilling to incur the cost and pressure of making a change due to the impact it will have on their figures and budgets, and they'd rather gamble away our league status instead.

I'm convinced Ismael wants sacking now, he probably can't believe what the 'board' has left him to work with, another woeful lack of support 2/3 of the way through a transfer window and yet still no response to appalling results and points returns.

Am I right in saying that Appleton was the last manager actually officially sacked?

Would it be a possibility that given he was sacked about two months into a 2.5 year contract that the club wanted to avoid such a costly repeat in the future and inserted some sort of performance related get out clause into future manager contracts? Well pay you XYZ% and we’ll call it mutual consent?

Not sure how manager contracts really work, but imagine they are very different at Blackburn Rovers!!

Think under Ismael we have just about averaged a point per league game.

That will not keep us up this season - looking at the table, I think at least 50 points will be required.
