Might be too late now even if they did make a change. The absolute deadline for getting shut of him should have been the Wrexham home game. It was clear there was absolutely nothing left in the tank after that. 5 Quote

NeilInBristol Posted Saturday at 19:27 Posted Saturday at 19:27 If we were a normal club we would have replaced him before the window and given the new guy funds we signed this prick on a 3 yr deal he ain’t going anywhere ffs 2 Quote

Ghost7 Posted Saturday at 20:02 Posted Saturday at 20:02 Blown away he's still in charge. One of the worst we've had. Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted Saturday at 20:08 Posted Saturday at 20:08 You've got to give VI credit. He's consistent. He can bomb without trace with either a half decent squad another guy had in 6th or 7th,or with a substandard squad he's filled with assorted Euro trash of his own choosing. All the same to him. He's not fussy. 4 Quote
Gamst Posted Saturday at 20:09 Posted Saturday at 20:09 I suppose if we have any real hopes of remaining in this league then we have to roll the dice and sack the manager now. It's not going well for Val and it doesn't look like that's about to change anytime soon. Maybe there's no manager on earth who could save this ragtag bunch, but we may as well try. If we wait any longer we could be cut adrift at which point it will be too late. Unfortunately, I suspect saving some money on Val's severance payout is more of a priority than anything on the pitch. 6 1 Quote
StHelensRover Posted Saturday at 20:18 Posted Saturday at 20:18 Could imagine a scenario where we will sell someone like Alebiosu to pay for the sacking as he still has over TWO YEARS left on his deal 😂 1 Quote
John Posted Saturday at 20:37 Posted Saturday at 20:37 Can’t see Gestede wanting to get rid of him - he needs a yes man in place and someone not to rock the boat. 3 Quote
Ferrit Posted Saturday at 20:45 Posted Saturday at 20:45 Not to mention needing to be paid off for 2.5 years. Quote
RTM08 Posted Saturday at 20:53 Posted Saturday at 20:53 Can you imagine getting an inspiring team talk from Ismael and Cantwell? The downgrade in mentality from Eustace and Travis is staggering. 5 Quote
JPTSwindon Posted Saturday at 22:15 Posted Saturday at 22:15 Absolutely staggering that he is still there... Must be the pay-off, too expensive. Grim. Quote
OnionBalaji Posted Saturday at 22:18 Posted Saturday at 22:18 Pasha must be loving it thinking all the ire towards Val has taken eyeballs off of just how shit once again our window has been 4 Quote
Popular Post den Posted Saturday at 22:24 Popular Post Posted Saturday at 22:24 How the hell do you judge any manager at this club, having to make something that the likes of Gestede throw their way? I might be old fashioned but I really miss the days when the manager knew who he wanted and the chairman did his best to bring him in. 15 Quote

They sold his players in the closed season and replaced them with rubbish too. VI isn’t great, but once you remove his tools he can’t do his job. 2 Quote

The players are poor but we're a long way into the season and I still couldn't tell you what VI's plan is - there's no strategy on the pitch, no tactical nous, and more importantly, no personality to make up for that. He sits at the side of the pitch with his hands in his pockets and shows no leadership qualities whatsoever. Christ, even Kean and Coyle got up to shout a few things once in a while. Of course those above him are a larger issue, but in the interest of not getting relegated this season, getting rid of Val is the only option available once the transfer window closes. 1 Quote

ageoftherover Posted Saturday at 22:55 Posted Saturday at 22:55 Even given the abject ownership, disgusting club senior management, non-existent transfer windows, inadequate wage structure, injury hit squad, multiple games abandoned from winning positions, fan unrest and god only knows what other shit is happening behind the scenes, he's still a terrible manager and we'd be much better off without him. 9 Quote

Rover down South Posted Saturday at 23:20 Posted Saturday at 23:20 Regardless of squad talent, the players went into battle for Eustace. JE was one of the ‘lads’ and it absolutely galvanised the squad. He had Trav on the pitch who would walk over hot coals for his team mates. Ismael is the complete opposite. His personality is dull. He stands on the side of the pitch motionless. He walks off down the tunnel at the end. And I don’t even need to pass comment on Cantwell. 1 Quote
