Around 10 million in fees maybe committed over time including various add ons but not spent. Like fees are normally done over installments in a 6 months/12 months periods with addons. Quote

So are did buy Gudjohnsen, Tavares, Morishita for around £2m each then add other signings..its around £10m. Original budget as £5m wasnt it? Yes we sold players for more but still committed to 10m Yes we are cost cutting in other areas as previously mentioned like in pitch, stadium repairs and up keep, basic and boring food and drinks served. Yep, you can nit pick until the cows come home as to whether the headline fees quoted either in or out are completely accurate. However the bottom line is that in summer we sold decent quality, and bought in lesser quality at a moderately negative net spend, and presumably a massive reduction in the wage bill. And find ourselves struggling badly. As 99% of supporters predicted would happen in advance. Quite surprising really. Quote

Fuck me......£12m of players out! Quote

They won't be accurate and if they are anywhere near, whoever picked out Taveres for £2m needs sacking immediately. Quote

Most fees paid over the length of 3 or 4 year contracts meaning we've actually 'spent' far less and the rest will no doubt be covered by future sales. So the re-investment to date from the Wharton/Sammy sales etc is minimal. Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago John Williams was always firmly of the view your finish in the table was roughly commensurate with the size of your wage bill in comparison to everyone else. I don't completely subscribe to that but by now our wage bill must be amongst the lowest in the Championship and that's exactly where we find ourselves. Quote

I wouldn't be surprised if where we are right now in the division is right on where we'd be in the first team wages table. Mostly in life or business you get more or less what you pay for. 2 Quote
