Great journalism. We could have a pressing need to replace a kid who has never played proper football with a journeyman 28 year old Championship striker.

Yates is average, would probably prefer Ohashi. Would be better competition than Gueye but I suspect he wont be coming here anyway and that is a dodgy source linking a million and one teams with him.

We’re far more likely to sell a first team striker and buy a 17 year old with no experience to replace him.

We can trade with academy players or words to that effect.

So in other words not much to cash in at first team level for big money so we'll now sell emerging talent before it even emerges.

I wouldn't want him now, last summer I did but its not the type of striker/forward I think we need. We need pace in the team.

He is still under contract for another year, so if a club bids for him, then Rovers can technically hold out for whatever fee they see fitting

And that was 18 million of very cheap. 300k (which according to Sufi is major money to us) isn't even worth mentioning.

Besides, we've already been told transfers out make zero impact on the budget, so it will be interesting if the charlatans still try to make out that selling players benefits us. They probably will.

Does he not know who he is dealing with?  First Day?  Someone needs to inform him Waggots timetable for transfer dealings is the last day and the players who can acrually help have their transfers screwed up kn that last day.  V.I. has much to learn about Rovers under Waggot and Venkies.  If Ismael truly believes he can do this then he may be gone before the end of pre season.
