All this talk of other Championship clubs being bought by x, consortium here, ex player here. Why are we never in that discussion, why are there no legitimate parties interested publicly? Just seems so odd...You know the fans hate the owners, you know the historical makings of a club are there and with a serious offer, even the Venkys would need to consider with all the financial issues going. I'm just so jealous...Β

Travis and Dolan will end up at Derby.

As will Weimann and Batth.

I don't see Derby offering us the fee for Travis and more money than us.Β

If Derby have offered Batth a 2 year contract a week ago when hasn't he sign there yet?Β

Because the owners have been turning down interest the second it's registered, ever since they took over the club. Since everybody knows they're not looking to sell, nobody offers to buy. Hopefully that changes at some point, especially with the financial issues.

Because every enquiry is met with silence and / or an extortionate price.Β

On your second point, I wouldn't know as I'm not his agent. The more pertinent question I would ask is why hasn't he signed the offer here yet?

Which leads nicely to your first point, which IΒ think is naive. We obviously haven't offered what Travis wants, hence him not signing anything and looking elsewhere.Β

Throw into the mix the intrinsic motivating factor that both Travis and Batth have openly praised JE and you could, fairly safely, conclude Derby appeals to them more than Rovers currently.

Basically. I could publicly state I'd quite like to shag Katherine Langford, but I'd look silly if she didn't even acknowledge it.Β

Because the club isn't up for sale.

I can't get onboard with not for sale, no response, etc. Ok two years ago but there the environment has changed dramatically, even the three stooges said they would entertain credible offers....I do not believe that there isn't a firm out there that would buy Rovers / happy to put forward a credible offer.Β Β

But what if she’s thinking exactly the same about you??

Don’t die wondering, take the leap…

Probably because he is waiting for Rovers to get back to him because staying here is first choice how many times are you going to repeat that same line to try and prove a point ?

It proves nothing.

How can Rovers set the budget until they know whats happening in India ?

It is reported he wants a 2 year contract and Rovers only want to offer 1 year deal which I feel is the right decision here and I wouldn't be against an option for a second year depending on fitness, injuries and playing times.Β

I would be offer him Travis, Tronstad and Brittain fair offers but ones that reflect their important to the squad and the roles into the team by making them higher earners at the club but not offering 30k a weeks wages

its was yourself you said Derby had offered a 2 year contract which if they had, he would have sign that by now, he hasn't. Rovers from reports have offered a straight 1 year contract to him which he hasn't accepted cos he was a second year contract which I would do as an option by on the factors I posted above.Β

Who says we are waiting for the budget to be set and if that was the case how did we make a signing last week?Β

Last weeks signing will be replacing Dolan on the payroll on low wages and the fee over the course of the contract will amount to no more than about 150k per year which will be covered by Dolans compensation.

An easy low cost signing that fits the current model.

I never said they'd offered Batth a 2 year contract it's you that has kept parroting that, i told you the quote i read from Nixon said Rovers had offered 1 yr but he wanted 2 and Derby would match that.

Nowhere has it been said hes had an official offer just as yesterday YOU said Rovers have offered Travis a contract yet nowhere has that been said that he has. All that has been said is the club are speaking to his reps there is no mention of an actual offer or of him turning it down.

It's all in the wording.

Waggott left a box of pork scratchings in his office.

I find that highly unlikely, they'd definitely have gone down his fat kisser.

Spent some time around the Peak District this week and got talking to an Exec Box holder at Derby.Β  He reckoned both Travis and Batth were 'nailed on' signings for Eustace.Β  Seems like most of the Derby fans were resigned to relegation and they still can't believe how Eustace managed to haul them out of the huge hole they found themselves in.

I dread to think what our squad will look like come our first match of the new season.Β

I've no doubt Derby will be pushing for top six whilst we struggle to keep out of the bottom three.

Posted this over a fortnight ago.

Seen nothing to suggest this will not happen.

Think Batth would even take a 1 year deal with Derby over Rovers - we didn't cover ourselves in glory with him a couple of seasons ago.

Anyone who thinks the mood music around the Rovers is anything but poor and depressing really does need to give their head a wobble.

I would worry that even if we do offer Trav/Tronstad/Brittain etc contracts at market rate they would still want to leave because of the shitshow at board level. The players aren't stupid and I maintain the Eustace situation will have woken them up from any last vestiges of hope while Suhail and Venkys are in charge.

We only have ourselves to blame, not only for not offering contracts until now, but also for creating an environment that any sensible/good player would want to leave.

Venkys would rather be Kings of the Ashes of BRFC and Ewood Park than leave via the back door and hand it to someone else, they'll drag the club into the gutter and hollow it out until it scarcely resembles a professional club rather than just admit defeat and sell it.Β

The myth that there's no interested people out there, based on a curious blend of Stockholm syndrome and the Walker Trust's failings almost 20 years ago, has been dismantled many times over the last few years.

Vile people only interested in their own egos and power rather than the greater good.

Am I the only one who actually wouldn’t give Travis anymore money than he is already on?

Yeah ok he runs around, so does Mo Farah! We have Tronstad who is better at breaking up play there’s no need for two defensive sitting midfielders. Travis doesn’t score, doesn’t assist & gets booked constantlyΒ

My opinion sell to the highest bidderΒ

im`e not against that, however,do you trust the morons to bring in a player who is the same ability or better?????,as we all know, the money mysteriously disapears when we sell a player

Travis has been an important player for Rovers in recent seasons, able to break up attacks, engage in much needed shithousery and galvanising those around him to make better contributions. You only need do the sums on the points tally with him in and him out of the side to see that there is something about the lad that other midfielders just don't bring to the party. I appreciate he isn't technically gifted, a crowd-pleaser or a clear match winner, but mark my words, if he goes we will lose steel and leadership in the middle of the pitch and we will start to concede more frequently than when Travis is playing (for us). That is, of course, unless there is a cunning plan to replace him with someone able to do what he does for a fraction of the cost...Β

But Professor Cunning, whose cunning is more devious than the most cunning of cunning foxes from the university of cunning, sadly no longer goes to Rovers, as he got fed up with being taken for a jessie. Whatever that is.

VENKYS OUT!
