Cos we brought Forshaw backΒ andΒ added a relatively expensive (for us) midfielder.Β Β I was scathing about Forshaw resigning but if we keep Tron, Trav and add Tav then Iβll be ok with midfield in general. But history tells us thatβs not how we operate. Quote
roversfan99 Posted yesterday at 18:58 Posted yesterday at 18:58 Hopefully can prove to be a good signing and we can keep Tronstad and Travis and have some proper competition in there. Good to get him in early and hopefully more follow soon. Surprised that hes only on a 3 year deal with no option. Perhaps a small indication that the fee is indeed smaller than advertised? 1 Quote

I wonder if there is an option even though theyβve not said so. My reasoning - the Roverβs site says: 1. An initial three years 2 Until at least 2028. 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted yesterday at 19:04 Posted yesterday at 19:04 looks a big lad, hopefully moreΒ stephen nzonzi and less herold goulonπ no idea of the fee or if he`s any good, thats the problem with the ***** running the club, they are duplicitius and sly, clubs run in a normal way try to bring in established players they have scouted,we obviously just watch a showreel and answer the phone to agents with clients Quote
Hasta Posted yesterday at 19:08 Posted yesterday at 19:08 (edited) Tavares family moved to Leicester when he was less than one year old, so heβll probably come across as more English than Portuguese. Article here. Edited yesterday at 19:13 by Hasta 3 Quote

chaddyrovers Posted yesterday at 19:46 Posted yesterday at 19:46 Welcome to Rovers, SidneiΒ Looking forward to seeing what type of midfielder and why we paid the fee we have.Β 2 signings done now and lets hope for a couple more before the Stanley game.Β 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted yesterday at 19:52 Posted yesterday at 19:52 We're now carrying 7 centre mids Travis TronstadΒ MontgomeryΒ Buckley Forshaw Garrett TavaresΒ Fair to say that something has to give. Obviously it won't be Tavares, Forshaw or Montgomery. Travis and Tronstad are the only 2 with any reasonable value. I'd be surprised if we're not trying to shift Garrett and Buckley but its finding someone to take them. 1 Quote

JCRovers Posted yesterday at 20:35 Posted yesterday at 20:35 (edited) There's a clear shift in terms of player profile that we're looking for now which I see as a positive. Priority now has to be to tie Brittain down beyond the end of next season as he fits that profile. Both De Neve and Tavares are signings that are expected to start week in week out; there's no chance they would have accepted a move otherwise. Hopefully they can adjust to the intensity and physicality of the Championship quickly.Β I expect at least one of Travis and Tronstad to leave now, my bet is that Travis will sign for another club within a week or so given rumoured interest from the likes of Wrexham and Birmingham.Β Edited yesterday at 20:43 by JCRovers Quote
