roverblue Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago OโRiordan has been a bizarre signing, I donโt think I have ever seen him play a game for us and we spent decent money (for us) on him. Quote

Turned out pretty well. No way of knowing right now how good or bad Tavares will be for us without having seen him kick a ball. Quote

roversfan99 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Derby are also spending big money on an American striker from the MLS. Quote

I'll let you off now that I'll agree that Tronstad may be better, then again he's up there with the best in the league...BUT...I bet you a donation to a charity of your choosing that you thought the sameย when he walked through on a free 2 seasons ago. I'll wait till the lads kicked a ball before taking an opinion.ย Quote

Agreed, only positive is that heโs still young enough and could improve. League 1 will be a test for him. Hopefully he can hold his ownย Quote

roversfan99 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Dolan has proven to be a decent/good Championship wide man.ย There is no evidence at this stage to suggest that Kargbo is better. Quote

The growing narrative seems to be almost as if Eustace would have a full team of English pensioners if he could. The fee will be far more than we would spend here. 1 Quote

Jesus Christ no body is saying that. A poster has just posted that Dolan is better than Kargbo...How on earth can someone suggest that when Kargbo has played hardly any minutes...and the minutes he has played he's had an impact. Quote

Broughton bought him and it seemed neither JDT or Eustace fancied him. Normally that'd be a damning indictment because they see him in training every day, but both managers also consistently started Calamity so they're not infallible. He's come on twice as a sub. 1 Quote

I was posting after pick32 said that there is "zero evidence" that Dolan is better than Kargbo. The benchmark of the Dolan of the season just gone is quite strong. Hard to know too much about Kargbo, hopefully can cut out diving in the box, giving away silly fouls and running off the pitch. Edited 4 hours ago by roversfan99 Quote

In the same amount of time Kargbo has also beat two men and drove the ball into the box - three silly errors, three good pieces of play. Which do you focus on?ย Looks a decent player to me. I'll wager a pound to a penny that they pay no less than ยฃ5million in fees this winฬdow which almost certainly outstrips Rovers. Well there we go, Derby signing Patrick Agyemang will take their spending to over ยฃ4million with 2 months of the window left! 1 hour ago, chaddyrovers said: Is he proven at Championship We got a scout who left Man Utd and we appointed him here and we appointed Dundee United DoF as one of our lead scout Is Poku proven at Championship level you ask. Are De Neve and Tavares proven at Championship level? I would bet my house that of those 3 players Poku will have by far the biggest impact this season. Scouts - so what???ย We signed Brian Kidd from Man U as manager and he proved shite and we signed David Goodwillie from Dundee United and he was also shite so haven't a feckin clue where you are coming from on our newly 'signed scouts'. 1 hour ago, chaddyrovers said: Eustace wants only certain style of players and you can see that through his time at Birmingham and Us. He prefers the UK market. He wanted more control over signings and who the club signs. He wasn't going to get that here. He has more say in transfers at Derby and you see that with his first signings. Morris is a target striker he wants, Batth and Weimann are experience players who fits his style. He is also targeting Dion Sanderson.ย and he's just about to sign Agyemang from MLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 59 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: Derby are also spending big money on an American striker from the MLS. ย 36 minutes ago, chaddyrovers said: 1 goal in 3.5 games.ย You really must be having a bad day at the office Chaddy! Read that his senior record is 1 goal in 2.5 games (almost 20 goals in a Championship season!!!) Think Agyemang and Morris will be a real handful for defences - a partnership with a great physical presence.ย Miles better than anything we have or even likely to have. Why is it you rubbish all players other Championship clubs sign but 'big up' the rubbish Rovers sign!?!? ย 1 Quote
