This whole window is shambolic what happened to gestede saying its going to be an exciting summer window? The olive branch that we were all perched upon during their public statementΒ Quote

Ghost7 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 It appears as though Danny Batth could have been tied down to a new 1 year deal in January by a well organised football club, with proper, interested executives supported by a good owners. That's the only catch... A Blackburn Rovers of a different era. 8 Quote

Usually when a player leaves a club at the end of there contract, both the club who he is leaving and the club they are joining release confirmation at the same time to announce the move. Nothing from Rovers side. Be interesting to see what they do when Dolan signs for someone. His wife one won a few quid on a horse at Epsom that is for 3 year old only and is run on the flat. 1 Quote
CambridgeRover Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Breaking news from my ITK sources Rovers are doing something ,Β not sure who what where when or how but my sources are saying something is happening You just despair with these twitter accounts. 3 1 Quote
Popular Post arbitro Posted July 1 Popular Post Posted July 1 So some of the ITK's were wrong about Batth by saying the stumbling block was the length of the deal. It wasn't - clearly it is down to wages and it is so disappointing when, after seeing his worth to the team last season that we can't pay more than Derby. Our loss is Derby's gain. 19 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 3 hours ago, DutchRover said: Don't disagree with L1 comments, but I just do not see what value it brings them, even if we break even and they don't have to invest, they get no prestige from owning a L1 club and they'll never make profits in L1 to claw back the debt. It wouldn't even work as a tax write-off if we become self sufficient.Β Literally the only reason they won't sell us seems to be spite. They aren't at a point where they are bothered about value to themselves they are at the point of cutting costs back to a level that will not sustain Championship football but will be inline with what they are able/want to put in. Like say sub 10 million a season and more like 5 mill which will cost them nearer 10. So they are still getting rid of some money, still doing whatever it is they do with the club but just with a lower cost lower profile model. It might not be the owners themselves wanting this but it would certainly appeal to the finance handlers and it seems they are the ones running Rovers now and they won't give a toss which division we are in. 2 Quote

MarkBRFC Posted July 1 Posted July 1 If we're relying on Carter and Hyam as a partnership next season then we won't be keeping many clean sheets. We didn't keep one last season until Batth came into the side, and I think our only clean sheet without Batth in the side last season was against rock bottom Plymouth at Ewood. 1 Quote
