if we get relegated we ar`nt coming back this time, though with gods will it might get rid of the indians

Yep, highly unlikely we'd get promoted under these clowns.Β

We'd be in league one until we got new owners, which we probably wouldn'tΒ

Better output than Dolan surely? And played half the season?

He's a bigger loss than Dolan for me.

There aren't many floating about like him on frees these days we needed an experienced back up striker for years, get one then hes gone again.

So it's likely we are praying Leonard stays fit and starts finding his feet or some kid from an U23's somewhere turns out decent but i won't hold my breath on either.

To be honest it probably frees up a place for Tyjon on the bench but he'll no doubt leave as well.Β

Nah, he’s only good for 20 minutes and that was before the latest injury. Plus he’ll be older. He’s been a really good player in his day but nothing is forever.

I think that proves my point really, you know what you are getting from the likes of Weimann as long as they are fit but with the kids and cheap punts you just don't.

Might look better on the physical stats but you need those 1 chance 1 goal old heads in your squad if you can find one. Might not be great on the running around heat map but worth their weight in gold when it comes nicking the odd games and points.

I don’t think they know to be honest.Β

I think it’s about time the LT started serious questions of Venky’s ownership and the last 15 years.

You don’t and certainly a lot of the punts may not come off…but some do on tronstad and Ohashi - not saying they all will but when they do they are actually very good players

Ohashi came mid season expecting a lot more this seasonΒ

To be fair they were proven players albeit in different leagues and of course there's always Gueye who i think if he applies himself better can have an impact as the number 1 back up striker.

Likes of Leonard could learn a lot from guys like Weimann in the squad imo, another reason to have experience in the house if you actually want to develop players.

He's gone though so on we move....hopefully.

I get the sentiment but what would it change? They aren't bothered. The club isn't important to them. We're just something that exists on their balance sheet that they have to discuss with their financial advisors once every quarter, maybe longer. Nothing more.Β

Spot on..they are a local newspaper. They should be pressing this topic..what have they got to loss?Β

Some proper investigative journalism is requiredΒ

Yea Gueye is very raw I am concerned how he fits into a typical Val team but he seems well liked and there could be more in him

having experience helps no doubt about itΒ

Window has reopened and there's not even some stupid twitter rumours to be hopeful over. Think I'm going to check out until matchday 1 and see what's happened.

the LT are terrified of rovers, they defiantely fear if they critique venkys rovers would withdraw their media status and ban them from theΒ  stadium, hence the completely banal coverage they provide,i would`nr be suprised if every edit they write on the club has to be passed by the rovers hierarchy, peter wright must be turning in his grave

I think you’re right but the LT should be honest about rovers affairs and be brave enough to put them forward.

I don't really post or read here anymore because I've largely lost interest in Rovers for obvious reasons. Came on to see if there were any signs of things to be optimistic about (more fool me).

Anyway, I think the LT should get some slack. There's absolutely no money in local journalism. It's just a vessel for ads. So don't expect them to do much hard hitting stuff. They don't have the paying customers to support them if they lose the miniscule access they do have. I was actually incredibly impressed with what Elliot Jackson (and Herbie) did put out around Eustace's departure. So it at least showed the care is there, but everyone's got to eat.

The only people that can put the lens on Venkys are the supporters, using social media. If you have the facts, the time and the remaining will, don't wait around for the local "paper".

I have none of those, so back to finding other things to do with my time ✌️

One thing I’ll say about Weimann is that Goal he scored at Turf Moor was a special one, shame it wasn’t in a victory but an absolute belterΒ

LT scared they would lose all access to rovers if they rock the boat. Not like they get any exclusives, can’t believe people pay for stories on ex players and managers moving to other clubs. They are way behind the curve on anything at rovers. Long story short they got nothing to lose. Get digging, start getting the gruesome stories about our owners out

They want us in the Championship for ever, not above or below. No idea why but it's as clear as can be. All sales, failed registrations, contract wind-downs and 'purchases' all evidence this along with their exquisitely judged timings. All the wood is behind the arrowhead IMO. It's as clear as can be to those with eyes and a willingness to look. We're in this league and going nowhere. EVER.

The likely squad for the coming season is heading for L1 without a shadow of doubt.Β

It's a biased view but I can only imagine that if the LET were to go on the attack and start reporting on Shebby, Anderson, the Indian courts and the litany of other scandals related to Rovers in depth and with conviction they would far outstrip their current readership and click through rates. As @Rover1984Β said, they very rarely break Rovers news; I'm all over Rovers content online and I can't remember the last time I learned something from the LET.

Aside from that, if I were a journalist I would rather be doing some investigative journalism than be a mouthpiece for a club that I don't even support.
