but we can get sign players from overseas who don't need ESC like we have with De Neve or Gueye 

Bringing players in from abroad needs to be done over a few windows to try balance the squad. We are losing a lot of experience here. Half of our starting 11 have experience in the championship and a few are injury prone. Lose 1-2 players through injury and we will struggle massively. The depth of the squad will filled with unknowns and kids. It’s a big ask for any manager to deal with this situation. There’s no excuse, there were some good players available on a free snapped up by our competitors. Slow off the mark again

We have been bringing players from overseas in the last 3 windows.

We still have plenty of Championship experience. Hyam, Carter, Wharton, Pickering , Cantwell, Hedges, Forshaw, Travis and Tronstad. Would include Brittain but looks like he is off to Boro which i am disappointed and gutted about. 

Ismael talks about the profile of player he wants and each signing fitting that.

Hyam, Travis, Tronstad, Cantwell plus Ribeiro or Pickering at left back..add Hedges. Plus hopefully someone like Dramah at right back. More experience to replace Brittain 

But if we want to play Ismael's way we also need to sign the players who fit that style. Ismael wants pace, athleticism and ability to get up and down the pitch

Doing nothing to try and renew it until April 2025 and unlikely to have done a great deal in the 10 weeks since is a funny way of dealing with something as a 'priority' but once again we see that what they say and what they do are very different.

All we get now is the standard textbook arse covering and blame passing as a popular and important player edges to a rival club. It would be outrageous at most places but here people are used to it now and most of the fanbase indoctrinated with the "we can't compete" stuff anyway.

I suspect the Middlesbrough thing has been burning away for a few weeks and suspect it first emerged at Rovers' end right around the time Nixon was told that we had almost sorted his new contract extension. 

They knew then that he was going and wanted to get their story out first and pacify the fanbase ahead of the move occurring.

Next up we will get nonsensical talk about Brittain demanding ridiculous levels of money and then a few 'big' names drip fed as targets, which won't happen and then we will sign a PL kid on loan to fill in. 

The money disappears although some have swallowed the line about us spending millions already this summer on the three foreign lads and therefore they can claim the Brittain cash has already been spent. I suppose if you believe that you'll believe anything.

Only a few months exceptions to the rule in Wharton and Szmodics, and if Hyam renews his deal we know for sure it won’t be on better terms.

Both Boro and Derby's interest was known about well in advance of this weekend that's already been admitted although we don't know about actual official bids. I suspect Rovers were trying to keep a lid on it until they'd got the incoming deal done, bad news hidden behind good news.

However that went pear shaped and out comes the news no doubt slightly angled as usual towards flushing out any other interested parties.

Any properly run club would have began tying down its assets once it had made a few big sales and knew money was coming in but not this shower of shite just leave it as long as possible to save money then cost themselves millions again in the end.

Useless, completely useless.

Untrue, it's already been reported a player agreement had already been discussed and agreed prior to the offer and Boro have been interested in him for a while.

Agents will always make enquiries, ultimately their job is to get the best deal for their client, which in most cases means the highest salary. Once they found out Team X and Y would offer £20k or whatever, we'll have not been in the running if we weren't able to get anywhere near the same figure.

Your use of the word 'assets' is in the right context for the supporters and I suspect Ismael too.

But to the Punekars and Dumb and Dumber it means something completely different - something to sell and help to allow the owners to keep more of their money in India. To them a right back is a right back irrespective of how it weakens the team and affects morale.

The Lenihen and Nyambe situations happened years ago and this time it's Dolan and Brittain , so far, which is a complete carbon copy of the previous two and the rhetoric being put out is just the same.

When they've finally gone elsewhere it'll be 'offered to make them highest paid players' etc and it's complete bullshit. Yes some players and agents might take advantage but the situation for them to do so is created by the club.

Nothing has been learned because they don't want to learn, the idiot in high office has his policy and that's that. I wonder where this club could be now if we hadn't had a decade of that useless self serving stooge ?

Lost Batth who was the difference maker between all our centre half’s and so far not replaced. Brittain is going, Dolan has gone. That’s our right side of play completely gone, The side where most of our attacking threat has come from. Players need time to integrate and there is inexperienced holes all over the pitch. How can you not see what’s unfolding here.

He was on £300 a week when we rescued him from the PNE scrapheap.

He's been on several thousand pounds a week for the majority of his time here - and we know he turned down another pay rise when Broughton was here.

He's hardly been hard done to. He thinks the grass is greener - good luck to him.
