Not that there is any credible link, but he's English anyway.

Is this Josh Knight if so he has gone to Portsmouthย

I get that but he scored a few goals and got a few assists in the Swiss league. Surely can't be the attacking player we need to come in and be expected to score the goals and provide that assists we need.ย

Hopefully not but another tool in the box, I'm guessing a loan striker will be on the cards

He had one year left on his deal so essentially the new two year deal incorporates the one year loan and if it doesnโ€™t work out his club is covered- sensible all round.

Right winger is a must! I have a feeling we will sign a loan striker too

We're still a CM short.

Travis, Britain, Batth, Wiemann, Dolan, etc are not snakes. They've been managed out.

Good work from the club though because snakes fits the narrative it's the players/manager's fault and deflects the attention away from the shit show.

He was clearly being sarcastic.

We have/have had enough snakes to start a serpentarium according to some.

Things are far from ideal. Venkys are a mess.ย
ย

However this board is abit overboard with the meltdown. Travis has been offered a better deal somewhere else. As bad as it is, we canโ€™t match it and have to get a fee. We havenโ€™t got a choice.ย
ย

As a replacement weโ€™ve signed our number 1 target. Concerns over fitness so weโ€™ve done a loan with option to buy. That is sensible business. Less risk for the club. Loan with options to buy is the optimal way to do business. ย
ย

I donโ€™t back the board. But I like VI and I can see the teams heโ€™s trying to build. Itโ€™s going to take time and I hope us fan will have the patience to see it come through - as frustrating as the last few weeks have been.ย

I just feel we are abit reactionary. WestBrom we werenโ€™t great, but it was a very even game and we had a pen not given. Birmingham we should have won - it was a good performance. Bradford was admittedly a shocker but it happens.ย
ย

Our club is a mess. We deserve better. But we donโ€™t need to find the negatives in every single thing. As much as it is a buzzword, we are in transition ATM, I will be judging the team and window over September/October when things take shapeย

So, fwiw they must REALLY like Baradji, to the point that theyโ€™ve obviously waived the injury issue but negotiated the deal down to mitigate the potential risk. Travis is replaceable, I hope this guy fits the bill (when fit).

The winger from St Pauli must qualify with enough GBE points because we donโ€™t have any esc slots left.

Im really hoping we donโ€™t lose any more of our key players and we get a couple of Prem forward loans after Baradji and the supposed winger ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ

Oladapoย Afolayan? Born in London.

Gueye top, Axel, Tavares, Beradji, Miller, Hyam, Mcgloughlin, Alebiosu, means Tronstad, Kargbo & Ribeiro will be the only players under 6ft 2... I hope that bloody counts for something.ย

Buy. A. Good. Set. Piece. Taker.

Rather random question but does Baradji speak English?

No he doesn't. Just done his Rovers interview in French which had to be translated.

Tried English first few words but switched to Frenchย

โ€œItโ€™s going to take timeโ€ because you have plenty of time to adapt yin the championship donโ€™t you and the fella ainโ€™t lasted more than a year in a jobย

Loan deal makes sense due to the injury concerns.

So that means thereโ€™s money for a permanent winger signing?ย
ย

Right!?

Ahhhhh.... another ยฃ3m transfer fee conveniently gone missing by next summer!

Keep it up Rovers.

When are we going to see a striker and winger INVESTMENT?

Two losses in and hardly any shots on goals from the front 4.

Rudy Gestede was translating on behalf of Baradji, I turned it off after one minute. He was probably making up the translation to make himself look good ๐Ÿคฃ

If you mean Afolayan, he is English, so no work permit or esc slot of any sort is needed

It's uncanny that every time an experienced player transfer out is announced.ย  A foreign lower league player is brought in at exactly the same time.ย  It's a stunning coincidence.ย ย

ย

In fairness this does make sense as a loan. Though bringing in an injured player just seems daft full stop.ย

Next random relegated European better be a right winger, followed by a striker.ย

Don't loan options usually mean that the player has already agreed terms to a permanent deal? Just up to the club to finalise it at the end of the loan.

yes

You never know we might be able to start defending set pieces.

Id settle for someone who can take them

Asking for both is probably asking for too much ๐Ÿ˜‰ย

Its a shame we have terrible set piece takers.

Because hes so important in terms of leadership etc, and because hes going, his importance on the pitch is being underestimated.

He might be average in terms of passing but he wins the ball back really well, he is athletic, he reads the game well and he helps to protect the defence well.

Leaves a huge hole and it wont be filled if his replacement is doing rehab.
