TommyRovers Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Anyone know much about Davis Keillor-Dunn? Barnsley. Think we have gone for the scatter gun approach to a striker and seeing what sticks. Quote

Old Codger Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Only Rovers  Pasha & Rudy could mess up a weekend as badly as this. Club's PR department (haha, do we have one?) is a shambolic mess. Recruitment appears to be being done on a whimsical fag packet. Pasha's tantrums, if OssyDave is to be believed (and I'm inclined to do so) are verging on the pathetic - does the bloke actually have a remit to piss people off (I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was being paid to twist the sodding knife). I guess it is a case of 'more fool me' for beginning to think there might actually be a plan and a potential silver lining in the offing, with the mooted approaches for Gudjonsen etc, and the apparently shrewd bit of business to offload Harry Leonard.. but nah. I do keep forgetting we are a basket case, not a sodding football club. PASHA 'I CAN THROW MY TOYS OUT OF THE PRAM IF I WANT' - OUT!! VENKYS OUT! Tools. The lot of ye. 1 Quote

MarkBRFC Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago That weird RoversXtra X account says we are trying to sign Bailey Cadamarteri from Sheff Wed on a permanent deal before loaning him back to Wednesday for the season. No sources or anything though. Quote

We haven’t even played yet. I appreciate that you’re playing up to your name but how on earth could you get to that level of frustration based on Alan Nixon bollocks and some random unsubstantiated claim here - that’s not even that bad if it’s true, surely don’t sell Leonard until you’ve a striker through the door? 1 Quote

From memory, we swapped him for Bryan Conlon. He was certainly in the team that went down to Division 3. Yes, you’re right. Bryan Conlon ! And then we moan about Gueye. 1 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Harry Leonard need to play first team football whether that on loan or maybe a sale with buy back clause. Think Peterborough would be good club for him to join given how they develop and improve. I still think he could make here but he does need regular first team football here. Would be sad to him go tho. on the 2 strikers we have been linked with, know nothing how good or bad they are or what qualities they have but it does appear Rovers want a striker. I know Gudjohnson wouldn't need a work permit or ESC given he was born in London, so that is bonus Still think we get 2 or 3 in and couple to leave. Would be very surprise if Pears is still here. 26 minutes ago, MarkBRFC said: Read he was going Preston Preston couldn't afford a 1m for Gudjohnson from reports Quote

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago 1 hour ago, Mercer said: 'Big Mac' a colossus and maybe the best £20k Rovers have ever spent. Hard as nails and Fergie revealed in his autobiography Mac threatened to kill him during one game and he was loitering with intent outside the dressing room post match waiting for Fergie!  As you say, so influential in dragging Rovers back from the precipice and I recall he weighed in with his fair share of goals for a ch - think he got into double figures with Rovers. Sadly, he succumbed to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's passing away last year in his 80's.  He wasn’t actually a giant, he just played like one. Quote

Actually, although he gets a bad pressure on here from some, I don't think Gestede is doing such a bad job. At least he knows the game, unlike Pasha, who wouldn't know a decent player to save his life (aka Adam Wharton and his comments on him) Pasha to me is the real piece of shit in the regime and the sooner he goes the better Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This better not be a block and complete end to anymore incomings. Would make this window for a disaster as we need attacking options...Would be a shame after a week of positivity. 1 Quote

The lot of ye. 100% true, I don't post things on here unless I'm sure on the credibility, like I say though if people wish to doubt things it's no skin off my nose. This part is purely opinion but I firmly believe Pasha has seen the pressure mount and he's been asked, "do tell me Suhail, can you detail a bit more about what you actually do at the club?". He has panicked and now wants to be seen to be making decisions and influencing things. This will go 1 of 2 ways, he'll make some ridiculous decisions that will impact us in a negative manner (most likely) OR he might sanction a move for an 8m pound striker! 1 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Id be quite happy if Leonard stayed, we'd still need one more striker though and have all 4 competing. If Pasha has blocked this deal Mcguire style you can't imagine VI will be all that happy no matter how "aligned" ( fined myself £10) they were previously. Quote
ObiWhan8t7 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) A lot of players been banded about today. Most of our business has gone under the radar till the final hurdle. If we are in for a striker it will no doubt not be a name that has been mentioned already Edited 2 hours ago by ObiWhan8t7 Quote
