Didn’t put a foot wrong last season. Being an ever present is impressive but to say he didn’t put a foot wrong is nonsense, he makes lots of mistakes and is probably a lower end Championship standard player. Although selling him at this point would be utter madness, of course. 3 1 Quote

Nah, what I'm saying is I wouldn't have been against it if they were going at least use some of the funds to strengthen elsewhere like up front... Because we have cover at CB.  I get you're frustrated, we've won 1 in 4 but at least try to see what people are saying. We can't keep letting millions of pounds worth of players walk out the door every season. What I'm saying is it's too late to reinvest it anyway. Quote
Goozburger Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The pattern of the board has been to sell players this summer who aren't signing contract renewals. I expect the same to happen with Hyam. We need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to get a solid replacement in within the next few hours if that's the case. Throw money at Kapuadi, perhaps? Quote

AAK Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Derby signed Diaz as well now fuck me, when they come to ewood it will be like rovers v rovers. Strange. 1 Quote
TheKitGuy Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Do you think Nixon has influenced many signings throughout his time as a journo.. I feel as though he is literally playing football manager..  x will be a good fit at y so i will make an article - clubs pick up on this and think hmmm. we've had worse ideas... thus making him look semi respected when he ends up being right. Quote

They're probably trying to see if there's any last minute bites for Tronstad too. Championship experience? Why do we want that when we can bring in some more untested kids from overseas for half the wages. Edited 3 hours ago by G Somerset Rover 2 Quote

metalrover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago We are already leaking goals, losing Hyam so late in the window is absolute madness. 3 Quote
Goozburger Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Just now, TugaysMarlboro said: Or give Hyam a pay rise rather than expecting him to sign on the same terms? Apparently that's what we've offered. As usual, when a player gets into the last year of their contract, they know they can play the waiting game and get a better contract without commanding a transfer fee in a year's time. I think accepting a bid for Hyam must certainly ride on knowing if we can get a replacement through the door in time. Quote
wilsdenrover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago As every one seems to be in here, I’ve done a little update in the Venky court case thread. I wouldn’t rush to go read it though but just so you all know it’s there… 4 Quote
Paul Mani Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Remember when I said, I thought we might sell Hyam and lean onto Carter, Miller, McLoughlin and Wharton @roversfan99 ??? Call me Nostradamus 😩😉🙈 2 Quote

If it happens we'll probably get a short term loan in then the money will be pocketed and a long term replacement will be conveniently forgotten about come the next window. Just as a permanent replacement for Travis will be forgotten about when Baradji goes back.  Edited 3 hours ago by RevidgeBlue 1 Quote
BRFC. Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Has the snake clan gained another member? Absolute disaster, won’t lie I am not even angry I’m just bored of the ownership. Relegation is inevitable 2 Quote

That would be sensible but then perhaps they think they can manage until January with what they have similar to the midfield situation. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted 3 hours ago Backroom Posted 3 hours ago Hyam is an unspectacular but steady championship centre half, steady being the key word, it would be stupid to let him go now. Wharton isn’t up to the task and Carter is a crock sadly. 1 Quote
