Some left over for January window. Yet again I don't have all the answers why dont get Josh to ask these questions at the next fans forum Pointless asking questions at the Fans Forum. Even if they answer them we have good reason to believe that they won't be genuine honest answers and even if they are won't be accurately minuted so that everyone can read them. I have zero interest in whatever fanciful figures you want to throw out there for what we spent in the summer. I do not for one minute accept or believe that we spent that amount and whatever we did spend was comfortably covered by what we brought in. Some might call that astute, but if it means we finish 10 places lower than last year where's the benefit? Venkys could send money over, they chose not to. Choice. Difference being the owners of Wrexham, Derby and Middlesbrough were willing to put money in. 4 Quote

April 2025. Yes I will blame the club. They are responsible and the one constant in years of shambolic activity. 7 Quote

Perhaps linked to the fact the club has been unwilling to extend any senior contract and has sold off everyone else of quality. 1 1 1 Quote

Exiled in Toronto Mk2 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The BRFCS Law of Entropy: every thread, over time, descends into posters arguing with Chaddy. While the budget has clearly been cut, I’m struggling to believe that our road to the promised land was going to be paved with improved 4-year contracts for Travis, Dolan and Hyam, plus Ba’ath and Weiman creaking another season out. 4 Quote

Endless fresh start syndrome.... Quote

No one at the end of their career, when you are literally talking about two or three years, walks away from that amount of money. 1 Quote

I'd imagine his contract with us will be the most lucrative one he has had so far, and now he's proven himself in this league he'd earn more in his next one (at another club). Quote
miqaayil Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) i understand this is a transfer thread and we're all arguing , could a better contract hold our proven players? are we on self imposed wage cap? is gestede a dickhead ? (definitely yes) , did the groundsman change his lucky underwear ? did the tea-lady serve coffee ? but we forget the important question , nobody is asking WHAT IS OUR AMBITION THIS SEASON ? or next season this question answers everything ... so many interviews ... gestede,VI,suhail and even the data guy.. not even LT asking ... or is the answer TRANSITION PERIOD FOR 3 YEARS the restart TRANSITION for some weird reason ...current set has skillset for playoffs ( i know many disagree ) ...just my opinion Edited 4 hours ago by miqaayil Quote

Then there'll be a repeat of the recent scenario in a couple of years time where players will be sold with contracts ticking down, perhaps the odd bigger sale or two of a few good strikers and the wage cap will remain (reduced in real terms) or even reduced to 8k a week ! Agents will fill their boots again and Suhail will be a couple more years wages better off. Maybe even Val and Rudy have loftier ambitions themselves but they know the score here so if they over achieve fair enough but the stall is set now for a repeat performance of this summer, probably forever more. You might not be familiar with Dario Grady's Crewe Alexandra but maybe look them up because we are a bigger version of them now. Forget this Brentford model talk. 6 Quote

Give over. FFS, they are footballers who will move clubs plenty of times. Never hated Rovers legends like Alan Shearer, Brad Freidal or Tim Sherwood when they moved on to other clubs. So why am going to hate Brittain for moving to Boro. FFS. 2 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Tronstad knows full well if he's offered anything at all it'll just be a one year extension on present terms so he's just setting his own stall out for the future, Edited 3 hours ago by Tomphil2 1 Quote

No appearance of flapping around and grabbing straws. Look like we're perpetually setting up for next season without actually having to achieve anything. In this window we bought a lottery ticket. The winning numbers are being read out and so far some of our numbers have come up (Morishita & Alebiosu, possibly Gudjohnsen). Long way to go. RG might get lucky and claim credit but as always with these things it's dumb luck. So, ambition??! mmm, let me think. Quote

I think Gestede let the cat out of the bag with this one, He said Tronstad wants to go back to "a Scandinavian country", (he didn't specifically mention Norway), It is possible that either a Malmo, or a Copenhagen who "regularly" qualify for the Champions League might be able to rival Championship wages (or at least the Championship wages that Rovers are offering), if there is no fee to pay "Going forward, his future is not in the country so he doesn't want to discuss an extension or anything, as he has a personal reason to go back to a Scandinavian country."
