That would leave us massively short so I really hope not.

where does it leave us short? up front?Β

Miller was reported as being up here today in the LT so you would imagine today or tomorrow, medical pending.

Im guessing the media person/people will be going to Holland so presumably that side is done.

Supposedly Medical has been taking place today

No foooking way we loan him out...shouldn't sell but if they're offering 6 million quid we have to take it so we can buy a replacement for 500,000

Bramall Lane…we’ll never forget!

Just Baradji, a winger and Miller?

Short of bodies in general. But up front, number 10, centre back.

Think Stoke would fare better with a decent Sporting Director.Β  Not sure what qualifies Jon Walters for that role but his track record on player recruitment and the appointment of Nadal as manager/head coach is highly questionable.

Sadly, Sporting Directors of the ilk of Dougie Freedman are as rare as rocking horse shit.Β

They seem to have gone around the young British coach type route too often, guys who either guarantee nothing but stability or flop.

If they'd gone for a JDT and backed him it could be a different story.

If they offer anything remotely reasonable for Gueye (Β£2 million?),I think we have to snap their hands off. Leaves us desperate up front, though.

Leonard is injury-prone and notΒ  up to Championship standard. He needs a loan.Β

Anyone think Buckley could do a job as a "false nine". Maybe a "very false nine". Lets be honest, he isn`t going to make the grade in any other position, even after years of potential promise. Takes a decent penalty, though!Β

Maybe we would just have to play without a striker if Ohashi unavailable. Worked for Arsenal!

Not fit to hold Adam Wharton's jockstrap yet only 3 million cheaper.

Stick a plodder in a world famous shirt and badge for a few mins and potential buyers go giddy.

Derby have signed Rhian Brewster. He cost Sheff Utd like Β£25m a few years back but has a really poor goal scoring record overall.Β

Eustace building a strong squad, I expect they will go well and challenge for play offs. At this level, Morrison’s strength and Brewster’s pace will cause real problems, and the Β£7m signing from America to come in at some stage. Imagine Brewster has had to take a huge pay cut and so probable that he didn’t have many options.

Just what do you bring to the party?

Plenty of passion, dedication and support of my Football club through the good and bad times. My support of my football doesn't wave on results, what league we in or not

I am not going to sit back and let you post rubbish about me.

It doesn't bother me if he goes to either Derby or Middlesbrough so I have nothing to accept.Β  The only thing I accept is he wont be a Rover by the end of this week.

Derby haven't put another bid in?Β  How would you know that?Β

I stand by what I posted on Monday morning - at that point, I was told Derby were leading the way and Brittain would be gone by the end of the week - that does not suggest to me that Derby have done nothing since making their first bid some 3 weeks ago!!!

As for Brittain signing a new contract - I posted what I was told 3 days before the Stanley game ie Rovers would announce Brittain's new contract and two new signings before the Stanley game.Β  So what happened before the Stanley game - Middlesbrough made their play for Brittain and we are told a medical issue with Baradji had been found.Β

ok fair enough Mercer

All you seem capable of is rubbishing players and managers when they have left Rovers, rubbishing players other teams sign and glorifying, parrot fashion, all that comes out of Rovers.

utter rubbish. our record in Eustace was 2 wins in the last 11 games.Β

Wrong here, I do rubbish some players when they leave but not everyone. Some clubs have made some smart quality signings this season. Do you want a list?Β

I am gutted Brittain is going cos I rated him that highly and is one of best players.Β

Β What is the infamous Nicko's 'hit' record!?Β

Miles better than yours. Nicko reported of clubs interest in players. Sometime he says player will deffo sign here

Seems you were right in it being posted on Twitter days earlier.

However, just seems strange no one, including yourself, on this MB who uses Twitter posted about it despite the concerns expressed by a number of posters on the Pre Season thread about the lack of a friendly game for this coming weekend.Β  Those posters included Chaddy who claims he saw the Twitter post yet made posts on 20 July about behind closed door friendlies being arranged for this weekend.

What I posted about the Netherlands' friendly on 20 July was to my knowledge not in any media, news or social, that I use.Β  As stated earlier today, I was told about the friendly by a Rovers' employee.

Β

Yes Mercer I read the post from Rovers extra twitter account who posted about the NEC possible friendly days before you

Is Baradji not that number 10 but also can play in centre midfielder.Β

Miller can play right back and centre back so surely that covered now?Β

What did Freedman have before he joined Palace as Sporting Director thanks to Parish.Β

Stoke need to decide what their plan is cos every season it changes like a clock.Β

Miller cant play at right back and centre back at the same time. Baradji if he signs cant play in midfield and further forward at the same time.

Versatility is useful but you cant play one player across 2 positions at the same time so you cant just sign less players.

Baradji also seems to be a central midfielder, not a number 10.Β

jurgen klopp did have a knack of getting top money for shite players,i think he got 25 million quid for brewster, which is some feat as we turned up at sheff utd and was worse than chris brownπŸ™‚Β

When Mercer is posting about himself and other folk arguing with the Chadbot, you know there’s no news.

Have to say VI is growing on me, seems to know what he wants and it’s clearly not what we had. Seems like forever that we’ve had no pace, not enough height, not enough physicality, two defensive centre-mids because our defence was crap, and keeper even worse. About time to try something different.

Brittain had a good season but JDT had him on the bench for JRC. As to losing Weimann’s and Dolan’s goals, we’ve said this every season since Dacky/Graham broke up. Someone will step up.

I wouldn’t be against selling Gueye for the right price.

Didn’t exactly light the championship up and is a terrible finisher.

Hold up play is very good but it should be for a bloke who’s 6’5.

Β If we’re selling him to an UAE side we should try for Β£5m 🀣
