pre season training camp in spain cancelled,players are going to filey instead,the fresh sea air is free,so is the beach and  the caravan hire is cheap,3 men to a caravan for  team bonding🙂

It's an absolute shit show that the club haven't even announced the opposition for the games! 🤦🏼‍♂️ Not sure they've even announced the kick off times either.

The Spain trip was announced way back in April, Waggott was still at the club then and I believe he was heavily involved in sorting it.

It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if the fuckwits we have left have no idea how to see it through and it ends up being cancelled 😳

A silly lad.

At least the 'one year wonder' played a key part in getting us out the old Third Division.

He got both of our goals on the night we clinched promotion at Gigg Lane - a great night that and I think we had almost 10,000 fans there that night.  I ended up back at Bulls Head, Wilpshire where players and management also turned-up for celebrations that went on into the early hours with the doors locked! 

He should have listened to Howard Kendall who would have further improved him and opened-up doors which the lad could only mistakenly fantasise about.  Can't remember where he ended up after his 'hissy fit' but it was all downhill thereafter.

after rovers he went to bournemouth and after a few short stints at the  likes of cardiff and middlesborough he ended up in the well known football hotspot torquay

simon garner,in his autobiography stated he was a tosser who refused to join in player outings (this being a kendall side there were plenty of them !!) he thought he was to good for blackburn,considered  an oddball by the rest of the squad,who were a close knit bunch in those days,rovers being completely brassic in that era

I went to both Bury games. The one at home we played like we’d been in the Bulls Head since the away game.

I often wondered if there was a bit of 'lets do them a favour' to the second game. Bury needed to win to stand a chance of staying up and I would imagine more of the players would have known each other back then.

Although knowing the way of things back then, along with Kendall's attitude, I suspect your reasoning is not too far off Tyrone!!

From memory, think Bury still went down.

The Bulls Head was a favourite haunt for Howard Kendall and Mick Heaton who in those days seemed to be joined at the hip!

Mick Heaton followed Howard to Everton and was there for a fair while.

He did spend his last few years in Darwen, before sadly being killed in a RTA on the Grane Road.

Chorley are looking for teams to play in friendlies. As yet we there is nothing scheduled for two of these dates. Somebody should tell the Punekars. A local derby and a chance to get an appearance fee. The players could drive there so no money wasted on fancy coaches. Chorley FM could cover the game.
