Must admit that I've bought the shirt as a souvenir of the 150th Anniversary season.   Personally, I look upon the whole season as part of the Anniversary but, at the end of the day, everyone sees things differently.

Some minutes have been uncovered in rececent times stating an apparent intention to wear a white kit at first but there's no evidence this actually was what happened.

That's the joy and romance of history Rev.  But I'm more than happy to add it to my Rovers collection, along with the minutes you mention, the first match report and the biographies of those early players.  At the end of the day Rev, we do what makes us happy.

Regardless of these other recently unearthed (and ambiguous) sources Parsons has alluded to, I’m telling you now if that random historical kits website didn’t show a white shirt first in the list of Rovers shirts we wouldn’t be wearing one on NYD.

So the rumour from Glen that Suhail delayed the release as he wanted folk to buy the other three shirts first that weren’t selling particularly well isn’t far off the mark then.

Maybe don’t release four shirts in a season then if you want them to cannibalise each other’s sales would be the obvious solution, not releasing an 150th shirt in the 151st year…

They banged on and on about the town of Blackburn throughout the AI generated promos and videos to the extent I thought we were celebrating the anniversary of the borough not the football club.

So why not for the green shirt (as was supposedly based on the livery of the borough) put the coat of arms on it? At least something to make the shirts have something striking to them.

When was the last time we wore that green shirt? Feels like ages since. Just so unnecessary to have three kits let alone four. 

If we had any sense we would just have had a special home shirt maybe with the maltese cross and worn it all season and then an away shirt, maybe gold or with the coat of arms. Make them both really good and watch them fly out. But a home shirt that doesn't even get the halves right, a random green effort 'inspired' by the town coat of arms (but not using the town coat of arms) and this fiasco with the all white kit appearing randomly on New Years' Day almost 2 months after the anniversary fixture just slapdash as ever.

According to Glen not only was the 150th kit delayed to the 151st to not prevent gold kit sales, we have also been wearing the gold recently over the green to further try and push sales of it as they’ve been poor.

Club run like a convenience store trying to get rid of soon to be out of date tat.
