This isn't true.

It has been like that the past two seasons, but before that it was how Rev described for the previous 4 seasons, 19/20, 20/21, 21/22 & 22/23.

Fair enough

They didn't announce yesterday cos of Diogo Jota's death and they want to show respect for his passing away yesterday in such a tragedy

Should be announced today then, in that case.

I don't wish to sound uncaring but how on earth is not releasing a list of televised games showing respect. There was quite rightly lots of respect shown to Diogo Jota and his brother yesterday but this is far too extreme in my view.

Football is prolific at this. All about being seen to show 'class' / 'respect' / 'one family' / '... at times like this'.

Of course whenever anyone plays Liverpool next season they'll be back to Hillsborough and unemployment chants.

I still remember the Saturday after the Queen snuffed it. Football shut down a la Covid whilst rugby league played a full card that weekend. A minute's silence beforehand was the only indication of a wider national event.

Some massive splash of ‘look at all these  games and they’re LIVVEEEE exclusively on Sky Sports’, no, maybe not appropriate.

But a simple printed list on the EFLs website to help folk prepare travel etc (and  keeping to their own stated obligations) doesn’t seem a particularly insensitive thing to do.

But anyway.

Just Hull away moved until the end of September (still Saturday 23rd August, but now 12.30pm).

Got off lightly there… or Sky have no expectations of us doing much.

Really Matty? Think about it. Think about the how he die and the tragic news yesterday. The whole of English football was in shocked but all that matters is Matty knowing what games are being moved over Jota's tragic death.

Lack of self awareness here

It’s a fixture announcement, don’t need to overthink it.

I mean Portugal women played in the euros and all football clubs (including rovers - who didn’t even acknowledge the tragedy) continued posting on social media. But yeah don’t release a fixture list.

No Matty really couldn’t have given a feck either way, I’m just asking for an explanation to why listing fixtures on a website is disrespectful.

It's was EFL and Sky Sports decision

I take it back then. As Rovers haven’t posted it or quoted it, it doesn’t show on the your feed unless you follow Liverpool as well.

I don't follow Liverpool but I saw the tweet yesterday after it was reposted by another Rovers fan account

Can you please explain how it would have been disrespectful to post a fixture list on a website?

Just his standard forelock tugging to authority. If the EFL had published them on their website he wouldn’t have said a thing about ‘disrespect’.

I think, both.
