Me neither.

Very cold fish.

But chaddy loves his honesty. Which is weird as if he was honest his post match would have been saying how utterly inept we are and that several of the new signings are miles off it. That’s the honesty that was lauded last week when he chucked Trav right under the bus so surely we want the same now

Hope I'm wrong but maybe our 150th year will be one to remember for all the wrong reasons...

We bumble on.

It would be peak Venky’s to get relegated in what should be a milestone year for the club

It wasn’t a pen. Initial contact outside the box. Rovers TV showed a freeze frame at half time.

Law 12 Section 4 states;

If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding within the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick

Remember last week when people were starting to put it out there that Gestede buys were successful. Ohashi is the only one who looks like he can cope at this level

Alebiosu?

Wasn't Ohashi a Park signing?

Kargo was pathetic. Tavares was off at halftime but it would have been better to get Kargo off then and not wait until 70 min. He was either static, on his arse or watching the ball run away.

One incident summed Kargbo up today for me. In the first half on our right side Norwich were going forward and Ribiero went to the ball but Chrisene was going on the overlap. Kargbo was drawn to the ball instead of going with the runner that was Chrisene (who was Kargbo's man anyway) and he got in behind. Ribiero tried to point this out but Kargbo was having none of it. It took Hyam to come over and explain to Kargbo.

It's difficult to put some football intelligence into players but it can be done. Alas in Kargbo's case I think it will be a forlorn hope. He is essentially a one trick pony in my opinion.

I thought Alebiousu was decent today, he’s very athletic and works hard, looks like he’ll be a capable championship right back in a crap side. Is he an upgrade on Brittain, not for me

This exact rule has just been explained to the dingles on the radio

Jury still out on this Manager for me,just cant warm to the bloke.

How much of our poor form and performances is due to the massive downgrade in the squad, and how much is it ineptitude from the manager?  For me it’s both but I’m not sure it what percentage split.

Why does anybody have to get angry? I'm certainly not. The defeats hurt, but I can accept that the club is in a transitional state. It certainly sounds like the Travis situation was dropped on us very quickly, and these players will need time to gel. Surely that's not an unreasonable point of view.

A 15 year long transitional state!

The only two things to cheer me up today, the Dingles and Derby both conceding converted penalties at the death.

a day of frustration.

First half, far too misplaced passes or making their wrong decision. We didn't press enough. Norwich had several chances to score and poor finishing from them yet meaning it nil nil until the penalty incident. It was a penalty and McLoughlin was rightly sent off. It does spoil the game but the rules are the rules. We still created chances or got into good areas but that final pass was poor.

Second Half, we were much better, press better, got Cantwell more involved. We created 2 great chances an we should have scored both. cost us the game. Their second goal killed the game.

Cantwell second half was my man of the match. Get more involved and influence the game.  But Alebiosu overall the game was my man of the match.

Plenty of effort from the players. Karbgo need developing, Gueye needs to learn the offside rule.

The ref was very annoying second half were inconsistent decisions. Favour Norwich too much and his relucent to take actions against their time wasting

Lets see what the next 48 hours happens transfer wise

Problem is nowadays , the manager doesn't sign the players , so gets a longer stay of execution !

It is a good question though !

One thing I do know mate..a lethal combination of both could be our death knell this Season.

I fear the warning signs are real and present.

We’re bound to look a bit disjointed given the number of changes over the summer.

Kargbo – no longer merits a start; he hasn’t played well at all.

Central midfield – I’m not sure we have enough quality there based on the current personnel.

Formation – I don’t think it works with just Yuki leading the line. We rarely keep the ball in advanced areas due to our lack of height.

Overall, we look toothless up front – but that’s nothing new.

I think it's still too early to make definitive judgements either way, as we do need to give the team time to gel, considering the amount of change... but early signs are very mixed for me. Alebiosu looks promising. Miller should be solid enough. McLoughlin has been OK but cost us today. Tavares looks like he has flaws, but may improve. Henriksson underwhelming but limited game time, so not enough to go off yet. Think De Neve would struggle to be useful in our u23 team, honestly.

Feels like there's a lot riding on Morishita stepping up. Baradji too, but who knows when we'll see him play as we have apparently signed him injured.

Of the remaining players from last season, massive question marks over many of them, especially in the forward area of the pitch. I'm not convinced we can rely on Kargbo, Ohashi and Gueye to step up on a regular basis as serious attacking threats. We know Hedges is not a serious option as a first teamer. I think we desperately need to sign a good striker at the very least, and then pray he stays fit for most of the season.

The thing is, whilst it's perfectly reasonable to say the team needs time to gel, we can't afford to get into negative momentum so early in the season. We can't keep losing home matches - at the very least we need to snatch some draws. If we continue losing then confidence is going to drop and having lost so much Championship experience, that may be very difficult to recover from.

Worth remembering Kargbo is 26, not some unpolished kid,

There’s a reason these lads we’ve signed have all been kicking around European lower leagues, unfortunately half our fans are too blind to see the reality.

Kargbo didn’t look right at all today. Could tell after his first sprint. Will give him the benefit of the doubt, today was a bad day for him.

We have been a touch unlucky over the 1st four games imo.

Desperately need a number 9, and sounds like we have one lined up. We need a centre mid for sure by Monday night.

Not a Pickering fan but would start him over Ribeiro after the break. Was woeful today.

I get what you’re saying but we’ve all watched plenty of football and have eyes. Whilst we will all differ slightly on our views of players individual merits at a granular level it’s fairly obvious who is a good’un and who is a bad’un.

How many of the new lads pass the eye test, honestly. I’d say Alebiousu alone of the ones who’ve played a few games and I’d stick my neck out on a 15 min cameo and say Morishito will be good, he looks like a quicker Ohashi. The rest are toilet, Ribeiro included, he’s Pickering without the ability to pass.

Whilst I’m on a rant and rapid fire posting session, one thing that particularly pissed me off about Kargbo today was his total lack of commitment physically. There was an instance in the first half when he had the run on the covering centre half, both sprinting to a through ball. He saw the centre half coming and shit the bed, let him have it. His one asset is his speed, which he rendered useless by being soft as shite

Yup

Transition has just replaced the project which replaced the journey which followed on from a 'reset' after a deep audit.

The one and only description is Managed Decline which has ebbed and flowed between overnight to death by a thousand cuts over the last 15 years.

I wish they'd apply all of the laws of the game so thoroughly...

Gueye has gone worse. I honestly think VI might have told him to stop dicking about as much and he's subsequently suffered as a result as he appears to have dipped in confidence. He's never been amazing but at the minute looks a complete lost cause.

He's a confidence player that needs time on the pitch.

Relegating him to 5 minutes here, 10 minutes there is doing him absolutely no favours.
