What does "the deliberate *banking "of stories" even mean or refer to?

Interviewing, researching, writing up but not publishing.
That way you can release a series of stories in quick succession & make it look like events are accelerating (faster) than anticipated & thereby create more of a stir.
I imagine…😆

this might be a blessing in disguise .... Hope national newspapers and some tv football jurno with some balls pick this story under "Freedom of Press".. make sure put INDIAN owned in big bold ...only way owners in India will notice when national pride questioned

Politicians do it all the time.  They then release 2 or 3 stories per week every week in the lead up to election day.

When you thought the club couldn't plumb new depths, they have fallen to a new low. The shocking thing is, you probably couldn't think of a more milquetoast reporter than Elliot Jackson, but even he was enough to ruffle the feathers at the club into blackballing the LET. Just goes to show how vulnerable Pasha and Rudy are without Waggott's spin-doctoring.

Seeing them use official club statements like some kind of deranged social media feed to advance their feud with the LT is honestly embarrassing.

This is exactly what happens when you have no competent carefully appointed leadership (with football results in mind).

Support the local rag now simple.

I agree

lets all start paying our match ticket fee to Lancs subscription instead of going to game

Show the venkys this is the land of free speech and we shouldn’t go to games and line their pockets

lancs are very soft tbf and could and should be more brutal about the shenanigans at the club but this shows they were keeping up their end of their deal with the club am so to be band is outrageous

Question, if Lancs are banned how do they report on the games like today? Their live feed was still active and providing updates - are they allowed to watch the game and report on it?

The club can’t stop the paper from writing about a game they played in. It’s a free country and he will be allowed to write a report on Tuesdays match if he wants to. No one can stop him.

They're only banned from Ewood Park and other Rovers' owned property. Fortunately Rovers can't do anything to make other clubs ban journalists from their grounds, although it seems they've tried.

I'd rather they spent their free time making an effort for our 150th anniversary or dealing with contract renewals than ringing up rival clubs begging them to ban Elliott Jackson from their grounds

Thanks that’s helpful- helpful was an away game today

feel sorry for Elliot - I’m one who thinks he is quite tame/ modest about his business and could be more ruthless but blimey maybe he’s been told so for months and this happens

yes agreed- what an absolute waste of money from venkys

why bother

censorship is only about control and that feels like a dictatorship approach

Don't we need the Telegraph to help promote our historic 150th anniversary?
