Mcburnie seems to have risen in popularity since summer, not many wanted him when we were linked, not good enough apparently.

Par for the course with some it's all about opinion and it's more about investing in a proper centre forward than him personally he's just a good example.

Sell your most experienced defender and don’t replace and don’t get an established goalscorer, selling your captain and midfield heartbeat to boot and yes it’s relegation. Sad part is I think a lot of folk have lost interest by now that it’s just a shrug of the shoulders when the defeats keep coming

That smug incompetent (100% underqualified) ****er… yes, if you’re reading, Rudy, I would like to congratulate you (and your Boss) on destabilising and relegating a well performing team and club - perhaps the first professional club in history to be sacked by a manager twice in 365 days (?). A great achievement indeed.

Really, really sad stuff this, but a part of me is also enjoying watching the complete failures created by the current setup. I’m willing to chip in on an embarrassing Indian paper advert the day league 1 is secured.

It's all a bit boring isn't it? The fans have no desire, the team has no desire (apart from maybe Cantwell and Tronstad who do look as though they play for the badge), the board certainly has no desire. It's verging on what's even the point in any of it?????

I haven't been to watch Rovers since December or January 2010/11 and can honestly say I don't feel like I have missed anything. The club's existence is completely and utterly pointless.

I feel for Season Ticket Holders who were duped into paying good Money for this shyte.

Nobody was duped into buying a season ticket unless they are completely fucking brain dead.

If people want to go because it's part of their social life or through habit or they just enjoy the experience then fair enough, not knocking anyone for that. But for someone to try and claim that they had no idea how the season was going to pan out or they for some reason thought that the club was actually going to have a single shred of ambition or dignity is completely and utterly farcical. You'd literally have to live in a complete vacuum whereby the only interaction you had with any aspect of the club or football in general would be the 2 hours you spend at Ewood every other week.

So no, I don't feel any sympathy for season ticket holders, you knew exactly what you were buying into. If you didn't, that's on you.

Sympathy? I don't need sympathy thanks.

I actually feel sorry for those who have given up going.

In what sense?

It's a real shame that something that was such a big part of people's lives has been destroyed by a bunch of corrupt children. What's worse is that this was allowed to happen by the so-called governing bodies.

I love going, can't imagine not going.

Obviously, people can do what they want, but I find it sad that they've stopped going just because the football isn't as good as it was.

Its obviously far beyond that the football "isnt as good as it was." Thats a provocative and unnecessary angle.

Its a shame from both sides that people have to "feel sorry" for those making the opposite decision to themselves.

The way these alledged custodians of the club, have destroyed Jack Walkers legacy, i cannot blame anyone for not attending. I myself still have a season ticket but after 56 years of attending, that will terminate in in May, enough is enough!

There is no heart, no soul in the club!

For gods sake put the club up for sale or administration tomorrow!

I don't get to go to games often as I don't live near Blackburn anymore, but made it to the Charlton game last week. It cost us the best part of £100 for the day, and then we proceeded to basically do nothing for 90 minutes. The entire second half you could barely tell what was happening because the entire game was played at the other end of the stadium!

That's not a "football isn't as good as it was", it's a "the football is so uncompetitive that there is no entertainment value whatsoever".

It was my partner's first away game and despite my talk of how fun away games have been for me in the past, it was depressing. 30 minutes of half-assed chants following by 60 minutes of almost complete silence because there was literally nothing of value happening. It'll be a miracle if I ever persuade her to go again.

Ah, so you completely miss the point as per usual.

People haven't stopped going because of shit football. It's all the other bullshit that's been going on for 15 years.

Fans stop going due to lack of success not because of who owns the club. In Rovers case, the ownership has clearly resulted in the lack of success but had we somehow been successful under Venkys the fans would not have turned their backs.

Most Rovers fans, whether they attend or not still want the club to do well.

Attendances do ebb and flow with the sucess on the pitch but there's been a toxicity about the place for the last 15 years that's caused a large number to leave and not return.

Shit performances are not the reason why so many have walked away to not return. Shit performances are not the reason why the attendance has dropped from 25000+ to scratching 15000 on the best of days.

We just sold off the spine of a team that finished 7th to replace them with cheap nobodies. Anyone who didn't think this had a high chance of ending up in a total disaster is quite simply thick as pig shit.

The fact those in power chose to do this, rather than strengthen and bolster the squad to have a solid crack at promotion is the reason why so many have turned their back on the club. This is just one more thing in an endless list of similar things that have happened over the last 15 years. Remember only a few months ago when our manager left whilst we were in 6th place to join a club in the relegation zone?

You don't get people pledging 'Not A Penny More' because of some bad results. You get that when the heart and soul has been ripped out of the club and those responsible arrogantly deflect all responsibility for this onto others.

What happened here in the summer of 2012 is not the usual ‘crowds go up and down on success or lack of’.

Indeed most clubs that get relegated out the PL don’t actually see much drop off at all. Here? We lost nearly half our ST holders overnight? Why? Because of the insane decision to keep on Steve Kean on the back of 18 months of disgraceful antics from the owners and their ‘representatives’.

We’ve never recovered since, not even close, though in reality gates have stayed fairly steady at this new low ‘normal’ (the only anomalies being the Coyle appointment summer - another insane decision they shaved off a couple of thousand more ST holders and the Covid return year where they banged up prices in comparison to most other clubs that reduced them to promote getting back to grounds).

Only possible chance to get numbers back is Premier League, or a Bolton style renewal under new ownership and slashed prices - we’ll get neither so let’s plod on to cut number 558.

Total bollocks. I know people, as many on this board will, who were there when we were spanked 7-1 at Shrewsbury in the 70s , been stood in snowstorm away at Halifax who now don't go because morally they feel such a disconnect between the club and themselves and cannot feel complicit in supporting it (not saying those who do are btw, its individual, plenty are anti regime who attend)

So keep your patronising comments, it's nothing to do with the quality of football for majority.

We're all Rovers fans, if you choose to go, fine totally understand it and sometimes I wish I still was, but don't make stupid conclusions.

We lost thousands of fans in 1960/61 who'd been going years too, suppose they were just fickle?

The classic comment of somebody who just doesn't get it.
