I hope the Mak goes on to have a rewarding career in football elsewhere. If anyone could exemplify the sheer ineptitude of the current management structure and its decision making, Makhtar Gueye would be a prime example of what is wrong with our club. Talk about fooking 'hit and hope' - unfortunately for our recruitment 'experts' the lad struggled to hit, and didn't really have any hope of doing justice to his alloted shirt.

It's Rovers all over, at the moment though, sadly - hit and sodding hope.

Big Mak, Ennis, Telovic, Dennis (loan) and probably someone else easily forgotten.

How much is that in fees, agent fees and wages flushed straight down the bog for no return ?

Yet they won't pay some solid players a better wage nor sign another striker with a bit of UK pedigree for a fee.

Knobs, it's ok saying oh they're only cheap punts or loans but it all costs money, a fair chunk when it's all added up.

Yeah he looked like an upgrade at first but to be fair he was signed for a different system than we have now.

Forgetting the Gallagher obsession, as I dont get why anytime you mention Gueye you bring Gallagher into it, I must have missed these large parts of the season that you mention with Gueye.

Gueye is absolutely awful. He is technically as bad a player as I can remember here and thats saying something, he doesnt seem to understand the offside rule and hes bone idle. Ismael is a poor manager but banishing Gueye is one of the things that he has done right.

Why, so we can continue to read the relentless bleating of fully grown men, blowing off steam about stuff they don’t (and could never) fully understand, instead? I appreciate this messageboard is a form of therapeutic catharsis for some, but others of us are just here to see if Rovers are close to signing someone…

I have no idea why we constantly hound out any possible sources of information to the point that very few of the actual ‘ITK’ guys even post at all because they can’t be arsed getting the second degree. Sure, have questionable motives, but honestly I’d rather be entertained by a crap transfer rumour (in the transfer thread) than have to watch Dave from Lower Darwen, have yet another messageboard meltdown.

Theres a poster on here who posts on X as RoversExtra or something like that who called the Cashin transfer days before and got the usual set to and abuse. His info was right! Alan Nixon is a bellend, but he’s got more right than wrong in recent years, and either way, he probably knows more than most people on here about transfers. This is the transfer thread, so please don’t remove any potential rumours or linked posts, these should be the focus of our discussions and save the therapy sessions for quiet news days!

Fyi - Makhtar Gueye is STILL better than Sam Gallagher for me. Anyone seen more on this Frey link from QPR? Seem to remember him tearing us a new one at their place a couple of seasons ago…

Also if stories are to be believed, spent £20K/week for nearly 6 months on wages for Dennis, + whatever loan fees were involved, so probably somewhere between £500K & £1M on that waste of space

I feel with Gueye we really missed a trick, He's clearly a confidence based striker. we didn't play to his strengths during any game he featured in. The fans can say he's crap etc all they like but I assume he's struggled from the first day being here.

New country, New team, 2 new managers, turmoil behind the scenes, not wanted. 

I wonder how many of us would perform at our best doing our jobs with all that going on? Whilst checking social media and being called out for being rubbish. 

Wish him nothing but the best, he's obviously got goals in him, he's proven that elsewhere just sadly not at rovers!

Our conduct over the last 3-4 years demonstrates that this club WANTS to sell / offload its best players.

Evidence?

Look at the list of departures

Look at the lack of contract renewals 

Look at the money pocketed and not reinvested 

So when Elliot Jackson talks about Everton-Alebiosu in terms like 'Rovers have a strong hand' that implies Rovers would want to Keep the player and that it isn't in the regime's interests to sell him quickly for a good profit.

I don't believe that. I think they'd love to do that as quickly as possible.

And that is why we need regime change as quickly as possible, because their agenda and interests do not correspond with Rovers having the best side possible for as long as possible.
