It looks like Venkys were totally clueless owners who made a mess of everything they've tried and had no idea how to rebuild it.  So then decided to go the managed decline route and reduce the club and its expectations to a level they are capable of running.

We obviously haven't even reached that level of capability yet.

I dread to think where that level may be

I am not sure such a level exists

Before someone points out that they built a successful business they didn't, their parents did.  The idiots who own Rovers, are entitled muppets who inherited that business

Man Utd now in the race to sign Igor Tyjon.

If he was any good, he would have made the breakthrough into our first team, irrespective of his contract situation. My bet is that if he makes a move to a big club, he will never get a game in their first team. Notwithstanding that, the contract will no doubt set him up for life and so not sure that we can blame him, more especially given current state of our club !

I’m not sure he’s that good, but I’m also adamant if he was under contract longer he would have featured at some point instead of Henriksson and Diamini up front. If we did go down it would be more mismanagement.

Yet half our own fanbase remain oblivious to or just shrug the shoulders 'well if everyone turned up every week..' type stuff.

Well they did didn't they for the first few years of this bollocks and it didn't  make a jot of difference.

if you get rid of players because you won`t pay them the going rate then replace them with ones who arn`t as good ,you will go down the leagues,it matters not if the crowd is 30000 or 300,i can`t understand why some of our fans can`t see the fact that venkys have continually dismanted the playing staff from the moment they arrived

That's not half of the fanbase, it's a quarter at the most.

The majority have washed their hands of this ridiculous charade many years ago.

Sunday update from Nicko…we are supposedly making a profit on Gueye and we have money to spend on attackers. The issue seemingly is that we are reluctant to pay them.

Rovers in being useless shocker.

Nixon saying we have money to bring a couple in but wages are an issue as venkys are reluctant to pay decent wages.  He Said the Chinese club paying £1.8 million for Gueye but that Gueye Is only on 5 grand a week here so shifting his wages won't help to much in bringing others in

Small bit about us possibly bidding again for Bailey Cadamateri again

Apologies as I am not a football financier.

Just because Gueye was on 5k a week, doesn't mean we can't use some of the transfer fee (equivalent to 34k a week) to sign a proper striker

Standard transfer window then. Big talk at the start, no problems shipping people out to bring in money, but unable to bring people in due to Venky constraints.

Ismael's first targets missed, 3 players in by the Hull game, business done early. Managed one easy loan. Anyone surprised?

It doesn't but Venkys are seemingly unwilling to do that

Cadamarteri posted a pic with his dad at an airport so possibly on way to Hibs?

I wouldn't discount us, given lack of investment in Northern rail.

Hibs offer fees & wages that even current day Rovers can beat, should they chose to

Miller didn't come here for the same wage, or less than he was on there

Tell them that, but no chance that happens. We should use the 800k profit we got on wages but this is not how this football club works. Idk who said it but apparently we want to keep the wages under 10k for each player since the summer that just went

This will see us relegated and slide down the leagues. If we're offering wages lower or the same as we were 3-4 years ago , the quality of players we'll attract will drop.

It's also likely to be more cost effective to up a current players wage rather than having to find a replacement in the transfer market considering there's so many additional costs the headline fee doesn't take into account.

This self imposed wage structure is the chief reason we’ve been bringing in absolute wasters from abroad. We’ll struggle to get anyone remotely half decent from this country.

unless its a loan for a "promising youngster" where we essentially guarantee that they will play regardless of performances
