Elrovers Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Nvm it’s gone too. Yep they got the players mixed up then. How can they do such a thing. Absolute clowns. You can’t even blame the club, it’s the sources who’ve done this. Quote
islander200 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago They have removed the final paragraph from the Jorgensen article where he claimed Donnum was in Lancashire finalising his move. 2 Quote
roversfan99 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Also, the line at the bottom of the Jorgensen article has also gone. Embarrassing to get it so wrong. 1 Quote
Ricky Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If the club have leaked something to protect the actual signing then good on them. I’m all for that if it means we get the player we want with no late moves from clubs who could guzump the deal. 2 Quote
Emerald Isle Rover Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Can’t wait for the excuses in the morning having said that a winger wasn’t what was required anyway we need ANOTHER striker asap 2 Quote
briansol Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Looks like Jackson dropped the ball there. Norwegian journalist dismissed it as well. Unlike Jackson, rarely sticks out his neck like that. Must have gotten bad intell Quote
Commondore Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Dønnum is apparently a right midfielder/wing back. I wouldn't complain if he came here, but it does seem like a strange position to spend what I imagine is relatively serious money on for us. 2 Quote

AVE1875 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Dønnum links have disappeared off the face of the earth, that is disappointing... Was fairly excited about that link (through all the shite we experience of being a fan), however was possibly blowing smoke up our arses? Quote

I hardly think getting a transfer rumour wrong is the worst thing he's ever done. I was a lot more irritated by his puff pieces on new contracts (edit) and Hedges earlier on today. roversfan99 Posted 15 minutes ago Posted 15 minutes ago Just looking more into Jorgensen and it is a hard one to get a true feel for. I am skeptical of the fee. If its true though, he needs to really become an important player as its a decent amount for a club like us. It is strange that he has joined Bodo Glimt, struggled to become a regular and are seemingly selling him 6 months later for a similar fee. His position is obviously a bit of a strange one. He seems to have predominantly been played wide and I have seen a couple of comments on twitter suggesting that he isnt a striker from Scandanavians. That being said, playing as one of 2 strikers is a different job to just playing on your own. Every player has a good highlights reel so I never get excited by them. But they can provide a bit of use in terms of seeing the type of player youve signed. He doesnt look overly quick but he does look quite physical so hopefully he will be able to adapt. There has been a lot of debate about the formation, I personally think we are probably right to stick to the 352. Our defenders individually all probably need a third defender as none are particularly great individually and a lot are left footers so theres at least scope for 2 in a back 3. We look far more secure in that formation. Even if Jorgensen is better wide, we dont have any other competent wingers anyway and also our 2 strikers are not best suited to being up on their own. I think its really important that we get another more natural striker, even if its a loan, and of course a left wing back. I think you need 4 strikers for 2 positions both to cover injuries but also to be able to rotate. Having gamechangers on the bench is criticial too. Since we changed formation, when Gudjohnsen and Ohashi were on the pitch together, fine even though the latter is very limited and should only be a squad player. But obviously our alternatives were the useless Gueye and also have been players like Henriksson/Dlamini who are quite clearly absolutely nowhere near Championship (or even League 2) forwards. It would be truly amazing if Jorgensen isnt a massive, massive upgrade on them. The question is, is he good enough to hopefully slot in alongside and have a good partnership with Gudjohnsen. We will see. Quote
