Dike was a real threat when he came on last night for wba. For that reason can't seem him leaving in their position. 1 Quote

Ricky Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Dike is an interesting one as it looks like he’s out of contract in the summer so that combined with his injury record could keep the fee down. He didn’t join West Brom for a huge fee either and due to the injuries he’s not really pushed on there. I guess he’s hoping he stays fit and ends the season well to get a move. I wouldn’t be against bringing him in but we need another as well. Quote
Emerald Isle Rover Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago If currently being used why would wba sell to a relegation rival - makes no sense on their end Quote

This seems like a very strange clause to me, if it's optional. Yverdon wanted a sale. They've no reason to care whether he played 20 games for us. We should prefer the freedom to decide regardless of games played and have no reason to ask for that clause. Given both parties knew he would be out for months to begin with, it seems even stranger. The only way I can see it is if it isn't an option but an obligation. Rovers were known to change their mind on buying once the injury was revealed. 20 games would likely demonstrate he was over it, and give Yverdon some security over getting the money if he was as good as they thought he was, rather than us just using him as a (presumably) cheap loan. I guess there's one other way I can see it - if the player's side insisted on it. I guess he could be reluctant to be bought fairly cheaply just to be a backup player. 1 Quote

Good point Is it possible that its not an option to buy, but is instead an obligation to buy after he makes 20 appearances? That would make more sense Edit - I really should have read your whole post before I replied Edited 9 hours ago by KentExile 1 Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Barry Bannan leaving. wouldn't mind in coming. Walk into our midfield since we are so poor as creating. Quote

BankEnd Rover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Yuki needs dropping, clearly low on confidence. Jorgensen looks more suited playing down the middle, not sure he's the player we need on the flanks, certainly isn't quick. We need someone who looks to beat his man and carries the ball with pace. 2 Quote
aletheia Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago You working hard tricky. 🙂 We've had plenty of managers who expect things to happen. Quote

Yuki last season scored some very good goals, some reactive and others after long runs, and we have not really seen this since Ismael took over. I think he's being asked to spend his time chasing everything instead of focusing on specific areas of the field and that combined with the fact he's playing every game has massively hampered the effectiveness of an already limited player. I'd like to see a pacy left winger and a striker with a big of physical presence come in, but I doubt we'll get either. A good coach/manager will use player's strengths. Ours is rigid to a system that suits no one and we're all suffering for it. The fact that today's turgid serving is seen as an improvement says it all. 1 Quote

Agreed we could have Fernandes an haaland in our team but if Val is persisting with his stubborn formation and tactics it’s irrelevant Quote

ROVER_N_OUT1978 Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago Yuki has been flogged. Badly needs a rest I feel. Can’t understand why we are playing a 6ft1” striker out wide either. if we are looking domestically I would be inclined to go for Dominic Ballard at Leyton, the guys a goal machine. Quote
roversfan99 Posted 45 minutes ago Posted 45 minutes ago He may well be tired and over burdened but he was never anything more than bang average. There was talk in the summer of him being rested and ready to score 15-20 goals which always seemed fanciful. Quote

His finishing and positioning is very poor Quote
