I still cannot get over the fact those at Ewood thought he was a suitable replacement for Hyam.

Absolute extreme cost cutting and downgrading that was.

Was he not more of a Baath replacement?

Doesn't make him any better but still.

Some people have given Miller some stick on this site, deservedly man of the match. He gives 120% every game, if the rest of the team followed suit, we'd be out of the relegation zone.

I thought Cashin was MOTM tonight. Miller is pretty limited but do agree that you can never doubt his effort, always gives 100%.

Don't know if TV picked it up but Miller crashed into the hoarding right in front of us, got up and just ran back on,not a flinch.

Him and Cashin are 2 players for a relegation battle, Cashin man of the match for me, cracking signing in our position.

Painful but we got there, Carter got 60 minutes, Gudjonson and Alebiosu got a rest and Ohashi got an even longer one.

Strange team selection it could be said for a game we had to win, but maybe made more with Saturday in mind.

Younger, on decent money, think they saw him as someone who they expected to become the main centre half.

Gudjohnsen must be nowhere near fully fit otherwise he'd surely be starting.

He did look very clumsy when he came on tonight. Don't think he's ready to start again yet.

Well we made hard fucking work of that tonight, especially considering we were 1 nil up after 12 minutes against the worst side in the league, who have minus 7 points and 1 win all season.

In fairness I do think Wednesday put a shift in. They battled like they were fighting for their lives, even though they're long dead. I guess they're playing without pressure though, and for pride. I was surprised they never let their heads drop though, respect. They've been losing regularly but not often by large margins.

The lack of enthusiasm from fans and players at the final whistle told a story. We hobbled home against a poor side, when we were hoping for a resounding win to boost our morale in time for a crucial game against Norwich. I'm not convinced this is going to be enough to change our momentum. But anything short of a win would have been a death sentence.

Toth

Miller Carter Cashin

Alebiosu Baradji Tronstad Morishita

Jorgensen Gudjohnson Afolayan

3-4-3 or 5-2-3 - this should be the team for the next game, drop De Neve and Cantwel, Sonny captain

Awful performance . Everything is so laboured and dull.

Why we're playing a centre half at left back when we've two solid left backs. Pickering also has shown he's useful at set pieces AND he's actually our own player.

Not sure of Morishitas best position.  Could imagine,  a bit like Emerton, him being more effective coming from deep in a wing back role..

Cantwell,  never seen anything in him.

Agree regarding Joseph. Give him a go.

Rather see Atcheson play over Mclouglin

He's a tiny, slow lad. What on earth would possess you to play Morishita at WB?

Also Pickering's set piece tonight was awful - as they have been throughout his time here.

Why hasn’t carter been playing all season??

Always hurt, it seems.

Tronstad, for Captain.

Morishita has value, leads Rovers in assists (5).

Thats a decent team there.

Miller and Cashin future tag team champions of the world. Morishita looked better, and Baradji looks like Patrick Viera at times. Really thought we did well in first half. Second half was a mess, probably panicing.

Grateful for 3 points

Grateful for injured players coming back

Grateful Oxford lost despite being gifted the opening goal.

Grateful Rovers hierarchy were faffing about potting Ishmael on deadline day so Pickering is still a Rover and not at Oxford.

Grateful Baggies are in free fall.

Very much doubt Johnson had much effect given Ishmael trained them and the starting line up was such a mish mash.

Reason for hope going to Norwich but that wasn't a game to instil confidence in anyone.

Considering our position, our form, our season, I couldn't care less if we played worse than that. We needed those 3 points.

If we play the same against Norwich and win the game. Bring it on.

Finally, I don't care what people say about Lewis Miller. I bloody love him. Cantwell, as captain, could learn a lot from him. He may not have the best technical ability but he gives 100% no matter what. I know that if he's playing, we will have at least 1 player who will be fighting for us fans to win that game. I just hope the other players look towards him to see the effort he puts in and tries to mirror that.
